Do I need to use steroids to achieve my fitness goals?

Hey guys,

I have been working out regularly for the past 3 years and have recently stumbled upon the dirty secret that most fitness models use steroids to look like they do. Its disheartening, to say the least, to think that I may not be able to achieve my vain look without resorting to the drug, but I figured I would ask some experts here.

I want to look like those guys on the cover of men's health. Do I need to resort to roids to achieve that look or can it be done naturally?

Thanks for the help!

edit, you're an idiot

after getting together a couple ones i found under my dresser View attachment 551003

look at the third from the left

he looks anorexic

he probably weight 130 pounds, im not sure why you would even ask this question tbh.

but if you mean fitness models, like ones i actually consider, fitness models, like jaco de bruyn, etc, you would most likely need steroids. eventually.

Im pretty sure an edit button requires an actual edit to it, and the words "Can you clarify what you mean?" could have served a much better purpose, but I guess that requires class.

I would ideally look like that. Quite frankly the reason why I am asking the question is because I have no fucking clue about steroids and there effects and dont want to go around shooting myself full of drugs before realizing if I even need too. I mean, we keep it hidden under wraps so no one has any idea what realistic goals should be or if they even need to.

So yea, Im doing it to prevent myself from wasting time and energy if not necessary.

Also, if anyone can show me how to turn links to pics I would love you forever.

that picture is very attainable without steroids. it looks like your more into being cut then acquiring mass. This requires a strict diet and training regime. Plenty of rest and consistency. If you really want that, you can achieve it.

I guess it was a bit harsh, sorry

but, you need to realize, if you've been training/working out long enough, you would know 1000000 percent that that is easily obtainable without steroids, which brought me to my conclusion, you've probably been working out for a month or someshit, and think using steroids will get you there faster.

or is pressured into it

don't worry man, you can obtain that, it won't even take that long, i don't even tell average people to use steroids, if you're competing or what not, that's your choice, if you're an average person dont,

comes down to diet man, don't get discouraged, you can easily obtain that, just do a slow steady clean bulk, depends what your bf is at now

Its all good man, I understand you guys probably get a lot of stupid people asking questions on here.

Overall, Ive been working out and it shows, but I would love to increase my lean mass to 155lbs. Im currently on a bulk and at 140ish, so that would be 15lbs. The bulk gets harder and harder every year, but I suppose I should really increase my calories and focus on that aspect before going to roids. If the model you talked about is what I would need to do roids to achieve then I wont need to. I want to be muscly and cut, but I dont need to be that muscly.

So since you're here at Steroidology why not stay and learn something. Read all the stickies and beginners material. It's all good to know. I suspect you're leaning toward the dark side. And I suspect you'll get there eventually. So start learning now. Read the articles and the detailed descriptions of the substances we use. Read about the gains and the problems guys encounter in the various posts. Learn to use the search function.
You can probably attain your goals naturally with diligence and tenacity and good common sense. But how long can you stay there? Age and gravity cannot be avoided. So even if you decide cycling steroids is not the right path for you now, it's good to know its there.

That is kind of what I figured. I came to the conclusion that roids are more common than I gave them credit for, and while I want to try I think I am gonna wait til I am out of school before doing that stuff.

Plus, I figured you guys might be able to help me with my diet and such so I will post that in a bit.

First off what are your stats?

I am 26, 5'9", 170lbs, 15% bf with the navy method (not accurate I know but its the best I got) which leaves me with about 143lbs of lbm and 27lbs of fat.

My chest is 41", waist is 33", arms are 14" all unflexed. Neck is 14.75".

Ideally I would have 16" arms, 45" chest, and about 16" neck. So those are my measurement goals.
