Downvote system for the spam?

Was thinking if you could implement a downvote system for posts.
Say 5 negative votes will hide the post pending moderator review?

This way the community can help combat the spam and the mods will just have to take a quick glance and can bulk delete them at their discretion?

all said and done. NO. we get over 100K spam per day so it would get mixed up with the spam threads.
Thanks for the idea but we thought about that like 10 years ago.

I would try to formulate an algorithm to have it adapt and sort out spam automatically. Better that than some guy in Ecuador in his 1 room palace getting paid $15 dollars a day to do it 24/7 30 days a month and has never even seen gear.
