i tried standing and lying and just couldnt get comfortable enough to keep the pin steading, had to get the wife to do it.I think i'll get shorter pins and try the quad
I got it made!!! My wife (who is an RN) rolls me over in the morning when I get up and stick's it in all the injections spots. She does it all day long so its like second nature for her, its great, she likes to use the 2" pin no way in hell I'm gonna stick that thing in me . I only inject the HCG cause its a slin pin.
I would say a 1" 25-31 gauge. I personally stick with 25 gauge... doesn't take as long to inject. But after a while they say you tend to build more scar tissue which can lead to more problems.
Just a guess but I'd say the formula that most inject will create more scar tissue than the needle. I used to use 23 gauge when I first started...I saw one guy with my own eyes using a 20 gauge needle...no joke. I told him he was insane. He said that's all he had. I told him he was stupid since a 100 pins w/syringes costs like 12 bucks.
Now I use 25 for almost everything. I don't want the injection to take all day. LOL
1" 23g is a very common size pin to use. Anything smaller takes for ever to inject with. Using a larger size to withdrawl with is the way to go though. It depends whether your using oil or water based too.
I use a 20G to withdraw and a 23G 1.5" whenever I inject. I've only tried to inject myself in the glutes once and never again. Only time I'll do glutes is when my buddy can do it for me. Other than that it's quads and delts for me...but I may try the chest soon lol
I have hit everywhere except the bi's. Man it just looks like it hurts. I don't think I could do it on my own. I hit all the others my self shoulder, glutes, calves, quads. Oh I haven't hi the chest. I'm just scared of that big vein in the bi you know. Shit what if you hit that. Oh yeah spotinjections.com is a good site man!
I don't like sore quads so I do most shots in the glutes. I have done it sitting and that's a good way but I usually do it standing.
25 quage needles do make the shots take a long time but its worth it when you've getting into thousands of shots over a career. Sometimes I use a hair dryer to gently warm the gear in the syringe to make it flow easier. I also shoot with one hand and hold the hot water glass in the other - that's key!
