Ex College Linemen Needs Help With First Test Cycle and The Dosage I Should Take

This is my first cycle and I have done my research and have found that Test will be a great first cycle for me. I am going to take Testosterone Cypionate and I am curious on what dosage I should take. I am an ex college football player (linemen 6'6 290lbs) and I want to try and burn fat and gain mass too. I have read that for my diet I should cut carbs and do a lot of cardio in which I'm doing. I just need to know what dose of test I should take and if I should take nolvadex also. Also any other advice on a diet will be great. I'm used to hard work in the gym I am just looking to get stronger and lose my linemen gut. Any help will be great and I appreciate the time that you guys put in to the site and the help you provide for newbies like myself.
 
Try 500 mg a week for 8-12 weeks at your size you probably won't need to take nolva during but should use it for post cycle therapy (pct). Everybody has an opinion about how much or how little someone should take for a first cycle, but i think this is a good dose. you probably wont see real results for at least a month, but stick with it and you will def grow and reduce body fat. That's my two cents.

First off 8 weeks will not be long enough to reap the full benefits of a long lasting ester Test Cyp.

2nd. How can you tell him at his size he wont need to take nolva during? I would advise him not to for the reason being that there are what you call AI's such as aromasin that can be run during. If gyno problems come up you can take the nolva or up the dose of aromasin. Call me an idiot but people who run a test cycle at a high % bf are more prone to estrogenic related sides.

3rd. Test will not burn fat, neither will any AAS for that matter. Diet needs to be spot on and lots of cardio. Im sure you will see results just due to your diet and cardio. Give the Test 5 weeks for it to full kick in, and run it for 12 weeks if you can afford it..
 
Jack mehoff i completely agree with you on all points, except for the fact that test doesn't reduce bodyfat. i think it does. I would like to have someone else's opinion on that though.

You can cut or bulk on test.. It just comes down to your diet.. I believe that it can assist if you have everything in order **Diet and Cardio**
 
I believe test can promote weight loss to a certain extent. I think with the right diet and cardio it will promote it further than the high calorie, minimal cardio bulker per se. Another school of thought would be that it promotes muscle growth which in turn can promote some weight loss. I have a tendency to put on fat. But testosterone itself tends to lower bodyfat while estradiol does the opposite (hence the need to keep the estradiol levels in the optimal range). For the football player, i would say if you do cardio with a clean diet, with some arimidex during the cycle you would have a better chance at cutting some inches while putting on some quality muscle mass. jmho
 
Also, since test e stays in your system for up to two weeks after your last injection, doesn't that make 8 weekly injections of test e a ten week cycle.

No, you need 2 shots a week of Test E a week to keep levels stable. 250mg on monday and 250mg on thursday. Should be a total of 20 shots to make a 10 week cycle. You wait 2 weeks after your last injection to start your PCT.

Recently numerous studies have shown giving 400 - 600 mg test enanthate weekly for 10 weeks to test subjects and monitoring muscle and body fat levels, the subjects lost an average of 3-5lbs body fat and gained muscle with absolutely no training..

This months Muscular Development had an article discussing just this, and had all of the references and studies listed.

Your telling me that if I take 600mg of test and eat cake and brevarian creme filled doughnuts with about 10 big macs everyday and not work out at all, im going to lose 5lbs of bf?? Thats in the top 5 most ridiculous things Ive ever heard.. And if you dont workout how are you going to gain muscle? If this were true alot of people would be lean and muscular.. Sorry bro I respect your post just having a hard time believing it...

No problem, obviously there were some controlled things in the study.

From what I understand the subjects were required to eat a set diet for 8 weeks before the cycle and then continue this throughout their cycle, to ensure their calories during cycle were consistent to what they normally ate on a daily basis.

Thing is if you have a 300lb fatass and give him 600mg test E for 12 weeks YES he wil lose a couple pounds of fat and YES he will gain a couple pounds of muscle even if he makes no changes.

You will hardly notice it because it will equate to a total of 4-6lbs change in body comp which won't be noticeable to anyone unless tested....

I never said you can eat crappy and not train and you will get huge, but you will lose a couple pounds fat and gain a couple muscle. Many, many studies have proven this..

Like I said, this months MD magazine has a quality 4-6 page article on the link between test supplementation and fat loss along with the references backing it up...

I certainly didn't just make this up or pass along second hand information. I would consider that very irresponsible and wouldn't participate in that kind of discussion...
 
I gotcha Jj. Makes sense. I do feel i lose more fat when my diet and training is assisted by a hefty dose of test, maybe just the extra motivation it brings.. Thanks for taking the time to back up your statements bro..

Hey no problem man, I was surprised myself untill I thoroughly read the article. It was hard to argue with the findings. Pretty much shows that aside from being stronger and more muscular you will also be leaner if you run a cycle of test....

I guess the flipside would be when you run too high a dose and your estrogen get's out of hand without being kept in check. Then even if you are leaner you will look/feel puffier and more bloated...
 
Hang it up guys...this guy hasn't been back since he posted this 2 wks ago. Sounds like he's to busy playing football I guess :laugh:
