Excessive local pain in injection site area

Hi Guys,

Hope this is the right forum for this post. This is my first post so thanks for having me. I’m currently suffering with a lot of pain, some localised swelling and heat from my injection sites with using Testosterone Ethernate (Omega) 300. 10ml multi dose.

I front loaded my first shot with 600 (2ml) which can be a lot and expected some pain but not to the point I cannot walk properly of even workout effectively. My next shot was 300(1ml) in a different site with the same effects.

I have never had any previous issues using Test E before although I had Pre - syringed Pharmacy Grade by GlaxoSmithKline.

I have another 3 multi doses bottle of the same brand and I’m seriously considering coming of the cycle after only 1 week any ideas? Could this be a bad batch? Is it worth popping another bottle?

The only difference this time than normal is I am running 2IU of HGH, but I can’t see this causing an effect?

Any ideas or opinions would be great. This is my third Test E cycle and the first shots with so much pain.

If you cleaned everything properly...including the tops of the vials before you drew your doseage and given the fact that you had no problems with Test e before, I'd say you have got some bad/contaminated shit there.

If the area that is painful is swollen and red, and hot to the touch, its an infection. If that's the case I'd stop the gear and go see a doctor for some anti-biotics.

Thanks Patrrickn and Mike. The area is sowllen and hot but not red and these symptoms last about 5 or so days. I was getting bad aches all over but put that down to my HGH so i backed of the IU's to adjust (only today so waiting for an effect to happen). however the localised area of pain and tenderness is about 10 by 5 inches so its pretty dam large.

Think my next jab will come from a new bottle and hope for the best.

When I got my infection on my glute. It was about 4x4 inches swollen and red and hot. What I did to monitor it was take a pen and trace around the contours of the swollen area and if after 24 hours the swollen area surpasses the pen outline and keeps getting bigger. Then I'd go see a doc.

While redness, swelling and elevated site temperature can indicate infection, it isn't a cast iron diagnosis. I have had personal experience with a quad shot that exhibited all of the above, but it was due to a localized allergic reaction to something in the meds- likely the oil or one of the solvents. I was on antibiotics as a precaution, but the pain, swelling, redness and elevated site temperature didn't resolve. The antibiotics were replaced by high strength antihistamines which arrested the spread of the redness (started as a penny-sized dot and finally involved the whole quad) and things began to clear up. It took 10 days before things returned to normal.

Bottom line is that these symptoms are often mistaken for an infection. As a rule if an infection is present, overall body temperature will increase as opposed to having only an elevated temperature at the site. That said, if you have these symptoms (particulalrly a general fever or aching joints) and there is even a slight chance that you have pinned with gear that is not sterile- seek medical advice. Deep muscle injection-related infections can quickly turn to full blown blood poisoning.
