Defiantly what I am going to be doing next time I brew. I am going to use a hand pump though.

Either or works so long as you regulate the pressure. I have a hand pump with gauge I'll be using. On the advice of a bro I trust I decided to go with the Whatman ZapCap. Give it a look if you're interested. Just make sure to get a glass media jar instead of using the plastic one supplied sight it

Do the plastic jars break from the pressure of the pump?

Do the plastic jars break from the pressure of the pump?

The seal and neck area crack at around 12psi I believe. I've read 15psi is about where you want to be for efficiency.
