First cycle - the pumps are killing me

I've been training for many years and just started my first cycle of 400mg a week. I'm at week 4 now and have started to get sick pumps to the the point it's hurting my workout.

I run on the treadmill for 1 mile as a warmup. Lately my calves start to tighten up about 1/2 mile in and I can hardly get in 1 mile.

When i start to lift the same thing happens for the muscle group I'm working. Super tight feeling and must stop and stretch out.

Is this common? How do you pevent ?
 
Yes this is common, its the increase of nitrogen and protein synthesis, yielding in a amplified fold with vasodilation during exercising/strenuous workout routine, the expression with increased blood flow... if your workout routine becomes painful, step back till your system finds balance, it will subside to a degree...stay hydrated, and avoid movements that cause/create discomfort..If its painful, stop doing it, take a brake.. also for the time being, avoid any preworkout sups or stims..
drink more fluids, take some potassium sups, and also avoid creatine and other sups for just a bit..
 
I have really nothing else to add to what vision has said. Just hydrate yourself and back off the test. It does surprise that 400mg test would do this to you.
 
...and in 2-3 weeks...embrace it !

Good example-Shin splints. The tibea ( ?) muscles that run down your shins are encased in "sheaths". When someone who used to run a lot and has laid off or someone who want s to jog or run to lose weight and or get in shape...the muscle get s a pump either again or for the 1 st time. This sudden influx of blood strains the sheath and actually causes them to want to crack or "splinter".

With AAS, as pointed out, allowing your storage of nitrogen, glycogen etc to increase exponentially your muscles are saying w t h ?

Another caution I will offer after this passes is mind your ligaments, tendon s cartelidge and meniscus. When your your strength goes wild resist the urge to do heavy triple s or fives put stay at 10-12 rep s and allow your connective and soft tissue to play catch up or you ll once again find dis comfort training .

You are reacting well to your blast averageman, I started my blast almost the same time as you did but with 600mg I can barely feel anything(no vascularity, no crazy pumps, no strength ) on week5. Not high jacking your thread just sharing my experience.
 
Ahhh, nothing like a good crippling pump! That's the stuff that keeps me coming back for more;-)
One day you will be off cycle and you will wish you could get a great pump again!!!
 
supplement with Taurine. It will help. If you get that bad of pumps with just Test, wait til you run a multiple compound stack with an oral at high dose like VAR added in for good measure
 
start taking potassium and magnesium.. and make sure youre getting 1 gallon water a day

Potassium and water all day.... I refrained from suggesting the magnesium because I know for myself it gives me the overwhelming urge to shit, literally all day long....

That's the thing....I've heard it can improve regularity in some users,but for myself I literally can have a bowel movement on command whenever I wish when I take it...

I tried this supplement called Natural Calm, it was a disaster!

Teut - Good call - I'm using 3j's reverse pyramid - Second set is heavy 4 rep max. Maybe I should keep my pre-cycle weight on the bar and just lift to fatigue rather than trying to load up the bar to achieve the 4 rep max.

3J and Vision - I picked up potassium today and will add in magnesium if potassium doesn't offer relief on its own. I drink a ton of water, but I think what hurts me is I work out at 6AM right when I get out of bed. I'm dehydrated first thing in the AM. This is the only time I have available to lift, so I have to make due.

Yes, I'm still taking creatine and pre-workout. Will now stop.

KillChill - I'm not a big guy. My TRT dost of 140mg / week puts my trough at 1100TT. If I've done the math correctly, 400mg / week should put me at just over 3000 TT. I have bloods scheduled for Wednesday. Will post when I get results.

Oh and I have back pimples and weight gain (10 lbs in 4 weeks), as expected.

This.

Magnesium citrate is what you want by the way. Most laxative effects are experienced by taking other forms. ;)
 
My preferred time to train is 1 st thing if possible before life intervene s and at Plaanet Weakness it s either geriatric hour or cop s firemen etc. At the power Shack it s usually pretty sparse too...but to each his own. Some like to carb up and all that but I sleep for shit and pm s workout s wreck any chance of me calming me brain down.

I do no pre work out drinks as they either give me the shakes, the shit s or a headache...but 2 mug s of Chicory coffee..yes sir...!!!!! Then waffle house and get the day going

Nice! I train at powershack & I'm at the awful waffle right now!!! We outta hang out.....lol
