Frist time D.U.I. offense In cali. Im not sure on how to go about it... Im not rich have debt and school loans and work... My job is also a driving job . The way i see either way Im gonna be broke once all the fees hit and what not. But im not sure is if i should get a lawyer or not There to expensive and im just considering to just go and man up to the charges and see if the dmv will give me special driving privleges... What do you guys think? A lawyer mite not be able to help me because Im sure ill lose it court with the help or a lawyer or not...

The only option you have is to deal with the crap man. Sorry to hear you got this going on, but legitimately its a choice to put yourself at risk of this when you choose to drive drunk. Hopefully it is also you last one.

Best of luck man, a lawyer may not save you money but he may limit the kinds of limits placed on you. But I am unsure of this.

From what I heard i know a lawyer can reduce the limits man. Im pretty sure I need to go with a lawyer who knos there shit and the city system... So will see. It sucks man one of those things...

A lawyer can limit the charges but honestly can you even afford one with what you already mentioned? Its unfortunate but really you had no place on the road... Everyones an AMAZING driver till the get into an accident or hurt someone other than themselves driving drunk.... I hope you learned your lesson though.

Advice..from one driver to another.

Update your resume, start looking for a new job. That shit wont fly with your employers insurance policy.

Also..it just became a problem wether you admit it or not..so if your license dont get suspended than defensive driving courses may reduce the fn high premiems your going to pay.

Also sign up for some AA...looks good for the judge or whoever..as it shows your willing to help yourself..and may improve your fight.

But other than that...dont know what to say..i think its an automatic 1 yr suspension here...gd luck

Little update... Got a lawyer was whom i was refered to from a friend of a friend. The lawyer was honest rather most ive spoken to this past week... There fairly priced... Sucks This hole week has been shit havent lifted much this week. Ive lost like 12 lbs during post cycle therapy (pct) since my cycle just havent had much drive to eat lift barely work, havent gone to class. Im not deppresed just really stressed... This process is expensive which I really dont have the money... Just want this year to be over with. And I found out my breathlizer results I blew a 0.1.1 :\

That's not too bad but you'll still get hit with everything. Fines, classes, license suspension, etc. That's what they mean when they say DUI you can't afford it. Was there a checkpoint or did u get pulled over on another offense?

AsAs long as you were not a ass or driving like a ass that kinda blow you can get a wet reckless driving charge instead with a good lawyer this is fact. Same penalties diffrent name

Ya man I wasn't driving bad at all only probable cause he had to pull me over was my tint on my scion... I was in jail for 14 hours man frist time ever fuckin up this bad. If this lawyer I have I pray she can get it down to a wet and reckless....but it was in orange county which is a horrible county to get a dui in.... ill keep u gentlemen up to date but it sucks man horrible feeling....
