Getting ready for PCT

Ok first off im lazy but im gonna try and finish this journal.

Been looking at how people train and just wanna share whats worked with me and a lot of people.

Stats:

27years old

PL training for 7 years, competed in the IPF and when i started juicing only raw meets. Its true that strentgh is my main goal but i love having muscles with symmetry too.

weigth 260pounds, 6`3, bf about 13-14%.

Been on a cycle of:

1-8weeks test e 500mg
8-16 test e 750mg
4-16 proviron 50mg
Hcg 500iu/e5d
Took last shot last nigth.

For pct:
Nolva
Humalog pwo max 3xweek

My previous cycles i have always hit a pr at around week 3 after last shot. So thats my goal for this also, i will go for a pr in 2´´ board press and deadlift. The volume will be ultra low, but intensity 110%. Not gonna look at the scale, but if i can keep my strentgh that will mean i have kept the muscle as far as im concerned.

Previous maxes:

2´´ board press 285kg/627pounds
(20kg up on this cycle), will try and get 290kg.

Deadlift 302.5kg/665.5pounds
(done before cycle, i have not gone past 280 this cycle, a lot of speed work, low back&core, plus rack pulls. been building up for a new pr) will try and break 700pounds in an explosive manner.

Todays: bench day

working up to a 165kg/363pounds 3 rep near max on incline bench. Stop at chin. I really suck at these as they kill my shoulders.

flat bench narrow grip
120kg/264pounds 3x10 as fast as possible.

seated Arnold dumbell press 80's 2x15

a couple of sets of tricep pushdowns on the pulley.

DC extreme streches.

3x20 abs on a machine.

+been having a hard time not maxing out as i have been told, and even im seeing better results via better recovery im still wanting to take it to the max.

++i train alone mostly in the power rack, and its a great motivator in trying not to loose face by not dropping the bar in the safety pins and squeeming under.
 
Rest day.

Went for a swim but started raining so walked home and did some streching.

Hope i dont get sick, been twice already on this cycle.
 
Good post. You are moving a considerable amount of weights. You must be a pretty big dude walking around in Thailand. That is one country I want to check out asap. Do you like the proviron and what do you get out of it? I plan on running a similiar cycle soon, but I will probably stack an oral or another injectable with it. Have you ever run the slin on cycle or just prefer it on pct?
 
Thanx man! Thainland is heaven on earth, just as long as you dont have to work here.

I use Proviron at about week 4 because of its binding to shbg, and in the hopes that it would let me use lower amountsof test, and i think it does that nicely. My muscles feel a lot harder on it. Its also redicilous for sex drive, like test isnt enough:D

I did try this cycle actually(humalog), but only for 2weeks as my life got busy and i was scared i couldnt commit to the eating. Didnt notice any difference aas or not.

My arms looked small last nigth so im gonna run 50mg of dboll for 2weeks until the test e runs out!
 
Deadlift(back day).

Really wanted to deadlift but my low back seems really tigth so i thougth i would give it a miss today and do rep work instead.

Pull ups bw 3x10 bw+30pound db in my legs x 10, bw45dbx10, bw+55dbx5

DB row 100´sx20 ,125´sx20, 135`sx20.

Effin love DB rows, i used to do them all the time, up to 220`s, my best strength move. My gym now only has 135`s:(

Wide grip row on the pulley, 80% from a heavy working set 2x20

Hanging Snatch working up to 1x200pounds.

Havent done snatches in a long time and dont have anybody to look at my technique but i like em.

Farmers walk 1xmax time 135`s.

Awesome one to do, kills your grip-glutes-hams-traps and great for gpp. Most of the great strongman have always had a job thats very physical, like a lumberjack or summing. I dont, so for that this is also great.

Situps 200

Bi db curls 50`s 2x10

DC streches and low back and ham streching.

Well started the dboll yesterday and the pumps where painfull, especially in the back.

Went a little crazy on the volume but good times:)
 
i should add that im a big believer in using straps for everything that they can be used for and training grip seperately.
 
Was supposed to try and go flip tires today for gpp but low back feeling really tigth, so just did strecthing and low intensity cardio and some core work.

Im really stoked about the tire flipping, anybody here done it? A good friend of mine, a fellow expat owns hes own MT camp and got some strongman stuff there for us to play at. I would love to start training for strongman after i get my deadlift pr, those guys are intense!! Trained with former WSM Jouko Ahola before in Helsinki at the Metal gym and he is the strongest all around pure strentgh guys i have ever had the pleasure to meet! And iwe seen guys like Andy Bolton and Ano Turtiainen train many times so that is saying alot.

Interesting. I was just thinking about how good of a work out my forearms we getting on back day. I barely do bi/tri isolation exercises because of the work they get already on the compound lifts. So I figured the same applied for forearms.

Of course I'm not moving the kind of weights you are. My joints and back are a bit too fragile for powerlifting, but I like to mix it into my training when I'm feeling strong. I have a long torso and thin frame with narrow forearms and wrists so not ideal build for a powerlifter anyway but I need to do something about these girly forearms.
I never seem to get around to doing the seperate forearms training anyway, but you would recommend it?
I'm guessing you like the straps to allow you to focus on lifting rather than gripping?

LOL - nice amount of weight you'r throwing around - i especially like the weighted pull ups - Awsome, dude! Flippin tires does sound hella fun - not mention a good workout - where do you do the farmers walk - in the gym?

Yes 100% rigth AND i can row/pull a good 60-100pounds more then i can grip, so why let my larger muscles suffer. And heavy is relative, my heavy is warm ups for a lot guys i have trained with. Just use heavy weigths for you in the safest possible way and your good to go! And heavy can be done in a rep range of 10-20reps also.

Also its good to remember that forearm muscles and grip, allthoug they do cross a lilbit are not the same, so why not train them different also. I use straps with my forearm exercises and again using heavier weigths cuz of it. Only started doing this about 2mths ago and theyre bigger then ever:)

Thanx man! Heavy is always relative tho, when i was younger i would go in meets with the eye of the tiger looking to beat every sob there...Now that i realise that i will never be the strongest i just compete against myself and dont worry what others do, i think i do a lot better:)

Pressing day.

Decline closegrip bench(aka free from any shoulder pain press!!)

Working up to 185kg/407 for 5reps near max. Great exercise! Felt really good with this as i have been doing back work really hard, the weigths just exploded from the chest, felt awesome.

DB clean from the floor followerd by pushpress 5+5x100 5+5x120 and 5+4x 135.

French presses with 3x10 up to using 45´s.

Abs, Dc and regular streches.

Felt really good, i love dboll and the way it makes me feel, the strength is just off the hook, its gonna be sad as i have a week only left:( Next cycle is gonna be tren a for shure i think!

NOW its a matter of time if your doing your dc streches for chest that somebodys gonna run over and give you a spot...lol just bursted out laughing today and the guy who was nice enough to run to my help went absolutely red:D I know this has happen to many before who do them lol...

Yeah - apart from feeling flat - it messes with my head - I love lifting because it is prolly the one constant in my life.... the 45's always weigh 45, the sled always moves in the same track, etc. LOL

Glad to see you got in a good workout. The dbol is amazing but i don't really like how much water I retain w/ it. Last cycle I used it for the 1st 4 weeks, then in week 10 I injured myself and took it for a few days - it seemed to hasten the recovery and brought back the superman strength! Hahaha - also gained 5 lbs in 5 days - lol!

I like the story about the spotter. I was doing the DC quad stretch this am in a smith rack and peeps kept coming by like "WTF is he doing?" even a few trainers! hahahahaha - I had a good answer prepared too - training for a limbo contest!
 
You dont think the straps effect the pressing movements since the wrists dont get worked? Obviously it's not effecting yours with that 627 pound board press, Hulk.

But most gents complain about it. I want to use them for my grip goes way before my back with my pulls but sacrificing pressing strength i cant afford.
 
SOB!!

Everything went to fuck! Was away from home getting some cheddar and celabrating the Thai new year(Water figthing) for a week, was able to train good and eat and all. But all that ice cold water people have been throwing on my face for a whole week finally got me. Im in a high fever now with a very sore throat! Its prolly knowing me gonna last a whole week. Great luck eh...

Anyway met a great Thai guy whos lived the first 30 years of hes life in the states and is all about strongman and functional strentgh. Hes all on board coaching me for strongman under 220`s as he said he sees potential and a solid work ethic! Im jumping on the walls here! So now iwe gotta drop some weigth(but wasnt planning on doing it like this!) and start training like a mofo!

Im gonna take 1.5mths to 2mths of the juice and then do a 6week cycle on tren a and prop and see how well i can do the events. My gym lifst are good enough already but how functional i am is yet to see! I think im gonna shoot my man Milky a pm on the tren/prop cycle when i get a litle better.
 
Bro - bummer about the cold/flu but exciting you met a trainer for strongman. that's very cool - be a new direction for you? How much poundage are you going to drop? i wasn't totally clear on your plan - sounds like 2 cycles? i assume you'll be doing the strongman training throughout?
