Got injured at end of my cycle

spiderpig

I'm not a bodybuilder!
Seriously hurt my shoulder (Rotator cuff i think) During a cycle being stupid doing 1 rep max's on shoulder press smith machine, Please i know im a fuc**ng IDIOT!

Lesson learned! but now 2 weeks into PCT my shoulder is still fucked up when i bench press, I am not benching and have not done for at least 4 weeks, i tried today just with a warm up set and bam! the pain was there!

What should I do? is there any supplements that will help me repair faster? I took the last week of the gym also to try and give my body some time to repair but still it's there

Sorry to hear, it sucks when you're in the process of trying to hold onto your gains. If it's as serious as you say, then you need to treat it as such. Meaning apply the R.I.C.E method, and use rehab style (youtube some) exercises with no weight. The amount of time you've tried to rest before training isn't a lot of time when trying to rehab an injury. Take it slow or you might end up out of the gym longer.

Supplements: I'm tempted to recommend some but for some reason I read this statement as an attempt at a quick fix, so I'm going to decline answering. Not trying to be rude but there isn't a pill for everything. Just don't want you to try and rush back into the gym as you already did. The shoulder is actually a decent spot to be injured (for the most part) as you can work around it pretty well and hit most body parts, though some not as well, and you will need to drop the compound exercises for certain body parts for isolation style but you can get it done.

Use this time to focus harder on your diet.

You think it's a comnplete waste of money then buying some join care supps?

i read up Animal flex works? I'm not looking for a quick fix, as u say m8 I'm looking for something to speed the healing process up,

No not a waste, I think ever little bit helps. I just didn't want you to buy something and then rush back into the gym sooner than you should and end up worst off. For example I even use Glut., (heh can't spell it), though many think it is a waste. I figure what the hell it's cheap and any tiny bit of help is still better than nothing.

I have battled torn rotator cuff the last 15 years and i have done every single treatment available except surgery which I still might do in the next 5 years. But this recent cycle I'm on now has strengthened my shoulder tremendously! It barely makes any grinding sounds/vibrations or hurt. I would recommend with light weights just do shoulder exercises til it's gets back. If the tear is not too bad you will be ok with that very similar to physical therapy, but if its a very bad tear you will need surgery. My shoulder used to dislocate all the time that's why I quit surfing because I couldn't paddle out if the wind was blowing semi hard towards land. GL bro if you have questions feel free to pm me

ive tried many joints supps and animal flex works the best for me. I also take fish oil and flaxseed oil, 6 a day. it is a lot of pills but if you don't mind taking them so be it. its not magic though. ive injured my shoulder multiple times and one time was on smith machine overhead press too haha

Rest and time brother. I too suffer from an irritating rotator cuff injury from repetitive stress that pokes it's ugly head up when I push my shoulders too hard. TB500 is something I plan on trying some day, although there are some really good videos on youtube to help maintain flexibility and range of motion.

If it is a tear in the rotator cuff it may never really be right ever again. If you take it easy for 2-4 months, with light strengthening exercises and band work, it will help and you should get much back, but it will always give you some trouble. Just been my experience in the powerlifting circles I run. Seen lots of guys do this to their shoulders and they rarely come back 100%. I am 46 years old and have been into powerlifting for a decade and gyms all my adult life. Sorry bro.....

I had one buddy make a near full come back, but his injury was not a full tear and they had trouble even seeing it on an MRI. Maybe it just depends on the degree of the tear and if you rehab it correctly and wait long enough. Some pitchers in the majors do make a full comeback from a torn rotator cuff, but some require surgery and some never really come back as strong. Its a horrible injury if its a full tear.
