Guy at the gym does arms & chest every freakin day?

LIVING THE DREAM
I just want a couple opinions. There is this guy at the gym who does arms & chest everyday. He is huge: arms must be like 20's and chest is just incredable. He's younger and knows his stuff (it seems).

He says that he just wants big arms and chest and is not worried about anything else. I thought doing chest and arms continously like that would do more harm than good!!???!!?? But it has to be the reason why he's so big right???

He cant be getting Hypertrophy doing all those sets and not having recovery can he???

Thoughts?????

PS. If you can't tell I'm pissed and jealous and the same time.

I've seen people like this. They only want a big pairs of arms and a nice size chest. This has never made sense to me. Why would you not want to look balanced all over? I think every gym has these guys. All the evidence ive ever read says this is the wrong way to train. You simply can't build muscle training the bodypart everyday. Ask him about his routine. Does it look like he is just pumping up? I know some people who have built big arms using normal routines and just pumping them up everyday after they already built a nice bicep

We go to the gym the same days/times. Yeah, pretty much he works out to just get a good pump in his chest and arms. He can definitely lift some weight and has very good form in whatever he does. I just don't understand why he is getting so big??? He never has a full recovery or even a partial recovery. He is all natural as well.

Guy must have a solid diet.
Well if he does it everyday then eventually his body will get used to it

It sounds like genes are Involved,If he has genes he can do this. still its wrong because he does not let the muscle recover,he just has it pumped up all the time which makes him look so big,.

If you train heavy,it will grow but imo he is doing things the hard way and he will create imbalances, being symmetrical is what its all about.
When I say doing things the hard way,if he new his stuff he should know if you build a solid foundation(the bottom half of your body)every thing else will be easier to make gains. It is of importance when training training for hypertrophy the you train the largest muscle groups in your body...legs.

drews got a point, symmetrical is what its all about.

Thats part of the reason some people have well developed upper body and sticks for legs (unless genetic predisposition exists)... It makes no sense to only work 1 or 2 muscles every session. There is a guy at my gym I have noticed seems like he only does squats (like mad weight, fills the bar with plates)... but he only does maybe a 3 sets low reps (3-8). He also does bench press (a lot of weight as well). IMO, he is not really doing himself any good other than demonstrating his capacity to move a lot of weight a few times. He does not look like he is in shape, he may be around 250-275 lbs or so. I dont get it either.... no point to go to the gym and train like that unless you are prepping for some power lifting competition where that is the goal, one specific exercise, one specific category....otherwise, its nonsense.

hes an asshole. Who would choose to be off balance? I can understand when your in jail and you have a bench and a pull up bar, but have to do bodyweight squats. but when you are at a gym and you dont utilize the tools at your disposal, your a prick.

Question-have you actually WITNESSED him progress in size? Or has he always been the same "huge" since you first saw him?

sounds like alot of Haterade to me... lol

Honestly though, who gives a shit what he looks like? Get in there, grow a balanced physique and do your own thing. Probably just has sick arm and chest genetics... happens all the time. Don't let it bother you.
