Heart ejection fraction question

Hi guys, I went to get bloodwork done last week which came back ok.
My doc also recommended an echo cardigram and EKG because I have been getting pvc's latley. I'm 34 6'2 245lb 12% bf and have been in the aas game since I was 23. My echo results came back showing my hearts ejection fraction at 50%, and mild dialation in my ventricals. PVC is caused by some mild regurgitation of blood in the leaflet. That being said, do any of you have similar issues? Although my anxiety during this time of year seems to make it seem worse then it is, I do tend to worry a bit. I was planning on running a test e cycle this March, but not too sure now. Thoughts?

I presume you have never had a heart attack? Have you been diagnosed with thickening of the heart?

I would not run a cycle. A normal ejection fraction is between 55-70%. Below 40% is considered heart failure or cardiomyopathy. You need to get your heart healthy. Definitely see a cardiologist. Get a stress test done and whatever other followups that are indicated.

Thanks megatron, I have never had a heart attack, nor did the echo show thickening of the heart. I do get bad anxiety during this time of year (time change, weather etc) which doesn't help the heart. I'm sure I would not do to good in a stress test either:( looks like my days of test cycles may be over.

I would have to think you can get things fixed up. Find a decent cardiologist to help you figure out what is going on. Good thing your doc got you to check things out!

My doc made an appointment with a cardiologist next week. My current doc believes years of heavy lifting with years of energy drinks, test cycles and pre-workout supps have led to my heart condition. I do have to admit I have taken pre-workout and energy drinks since I was 16. It started with the old "ultimate orange" pre-work and then all the Eca stacks and all the current crap that's out there now. I will keep you posted on the cardiologist check up

Mega, your knowledge astounds me, as does many others on this site. This is why I'm on here. I'm 35 yrs old and I've learned so much this past year since I've joined Ology. Education on here is priceless.

thats the first thing that came up in my head... cardiomegaly

Cardiologist are worth their weight in gold. I've had a "murmur" for years and thought nothing of it. Then several years ago had other symptoms including shortness of breath. After a visit to the ER and then cardiologist, the problem was located, diagnosed, and fixed. My murmur was a failing bicuspid aortic heart valve. My ejection fraction was a paltry 45% until open heart surgery for valve replacement. Saved my life no doubt. Get it checked out bro. If yur ticker gives it up yur done, game over. I take my blood pressure meds religiously

I only know a little about this. A family member had heart disease so I learned a few basic things.

I thought it could have been cardiomyopathy as well, but I don't have an enlarged heart or murmur. Hopefully the cardiologist can pinpoint it asap.

As far as my current workouts are going I still feel strong and get a good pump without getting short of breath. I even did cardio for 40min on oliptical and felt good. I think as long as I'm not taking and stimulants and definatly no aas then I should be ok.

A murmur is a leaking(regurgitation) heart valve. 50% EF isnt very good. Normal is 55-70%. I think u owe it to yourself to get it checked out bro

There are 4 valves in the heart between the 4 chambers. Problems with any has its own symptoms and solutions. The flaw in my aortic valve was hereditary. Sooner or later I was going to see symptoms

Exactly why I do not drink pre workout and energy drinks.

In Russia(where I am from) energy drinks are altogether banned and considered illegal, because the Russian health ministry sees it as dangerous.

Jacked, avoid any cycles and take care of your heart......and please drop the stupid energy drinks

I got heart issues my self. Serious stuff bro, and you are young. Take care of that heart man, it's the only one you have. The quality of the gear you use should be pharm grade. Your cycles need to be sensible.

Hey lucky thanks for the info. Everyone else too. I have an appointment with the cardiologist next week. I'll be sure to take things safe from here out. The worst part of this is I have anxiety that has crept up on me latley. It definatly does not help my condition. I will repost next week when I get word from the specialist.

Take some tryptophan in a tablet form..works wonder and calms the nerves.Taking 500mg for 3 days then Its good for a month to calm the nerves. The capsules one digests too quickly and the body misses out on the trip.
