Help With Problem on Sust!

Hey Guys,

Sorry my first post here has to be regarding a problem but I need some opinions. I recently started a run of UG Sustanon (sust) 250 @ 500mg a week. Pins are Mon/Thurs. On my third week on my 5th pin my glute swelled up internally to where it felt like a gel pack of sorts. I also on the same day became VERY ILL. It is now Friday and I am still sick although the swelling has diminished.

I am experiencing nausea, loss of appetite, darker than normal urine, slight chills, overall body weakness, slight itching of pin sites and a slight tightness in my chest. I have no site pain and no fever. I have been confined to my bed for the past 4 days. I am worried I am having an allergic reaction? My source is telling me it's nothing and keep going with the cycle but if I am having a bad reaction I do not want to inject again. He basically tells me I just have the flu and stop worrying about it. However, I take this very seriously and wanted some other opinions.

Can anyone shed some light on this? This is my first pinning cycle.

3rd week in so I am going to steer away from pointing toward the gear. If the gear was bad you would have known it after the first week, this also includes any allergic response to anything in the brew.

My bet is that you are just sick as is half of my office right now. As for the swelling on your last shot either a dirty needle or just a bad shot. Sometimes when you nick a vein on the way in or out a slight blood pocket will form and go away in a few days. As long as you are not feverish and the injection spot it not red or warm to the touch I would not worry about it.

And if you still want to play it safe make an apt with your PC and have him/her look you over.

I am better to a degree as of this afternoon. But I still have the feeling of overall weakness and some slight tightness in my chest. I don't have health insurance through my employer so going to the doc would be extremely expensive so I am trying to avoid if at all possible. I did get my had on some antibiotics and have been taking them throughout the week.

I was supposed to pin last night but I am still debating honestly if I should continue. I don't "feel" like this is just a test flu. Not with the tightness in my chest and the other symptoms I have had. I am wondering if I am not having an allergic reaction to something. But then again, I pinned 4 days ago and I wouldn't think an allergic reaction would still be showing its self. Unless maybe it was one of the longer esters perhaps. Not really sure.

What does it sound like to you? Any thoughts?

Those were my thoughts as well for the allergy or bad gear. I wouldn't think the allergy would still be in effect 4 days out from the pin. Unless maybe it was a longer ester.. I don't know. I NEVER get sick, but then again it's my first time pinning too so my immune system was lowered for sure. I just like to play it safe. I know Sustanon (sust) has mixed reviews on people getting sick so I appreciate everyone's feedback!

It was never red but it was a more warm than the surrounding areas but it was never very warm or hot to the touch. Placing a heating pad on it a few times seemed to help as well. Not sure if that helps in your opinion at all.

I will have to agree with Zeek on this one. You would have know it from first week. I think it is a bad shot. At some point in time any one using AAS is going to have one. Now should you go to DOC. IF you where so worried about it and asked us yes you should. The worst thing that can happen is you get better.

I think it's probably coincidence years ago I had some t400 that would be really painfully, caused swelling, redness, fever, felt like shit with every inject for 4 weeks then I never had an issue again.

You can't be allergic to an ester so that's not an issue. If it was made with EO some people can have strange reactions to that but usually just a rash.

Personally I think the swelling was caused by inject. I never have post inject pain but sometimes the needle can move around or nick something and cause swelling. It's likely you just happened to be sick at the same time.

If it were an infection, it would likely be red, hot, itchy, usually the redraw starts to streak, pain, fever, sweating, chills. It sounds like you have some symptoms so it's hard to say but if it was bad gear I would think you would have been sick or had infection before three weeks. It would be immediate but in the first week or two you would have noticed it.

Just keep a close eye on everything and if you take a turn for the worse then get to a doc.

hey bro! hopefully you do all your pinning like the above guy said ^^ always, always gotta sterilize and aspire... you could maybe have a test flu but IMO I think thats all just in your head.. On my last cycle I did a shot and about a hour later I felt like total CRAP so I took some vitamins and slept for a hour or 2 and I was fine, your imune system might be down from training so hard and the juice.. I only get my juice from UGL's, depends who your supplier is and all that, you could have some bunk stuff, but im sure youll findout soon when you feel better. the sites are always sore for the first couple days when you start pinning.. Just rest bro and get those vitamins and gatorade in ya hahah! then youll be able to rock the gym and rock that sustanon that I want !! have fun bro! post some updates

Hey, thanks so much for the replies everyone!

As far as my cleanliness on pinning here is my usual protocol:
- Wash hands with anti bacterial soap.
- Open new alcohol swab and wipe off vial
- Open new needle and draw
- Cap needle and swab vial off again and put away
- Open new alcohol swab and swab inject area
- Uncap needle, inject, withdraw needle and re cap.
- Swab pin site with alcohol swab and place bandage
- Wash hands with anti bacterial soap.
I try and be as sanitary as possible.

Here are the updates:

I am feeling much better as of now and the issue with my glute is pretty much gone. I think it was a bad shoot perhaps. Today is my next pin so I am keeping my fingers crossed all goes well. I know it might hurt, but I am going to go for the quad today so I can have steady hands and total control over the pin. Hopefully I stay feeling better. If not, then I know there is an issue and I will need to abort.

I also took another dose of exemestane over the weekend on schedule and i am still feeling better so I have ruled that out as the cause.

I am hoping that just due to it being my first time pinning test and using exemestane that my immune system was low and I simply got the flu and the glute issue was unrelated. But again, I guess we will see what happens after I pin today. I really hope it's not an issue because if my quad was to swell like my glute did internally, I can't imagine how painful or uncomfortable that would be.

Again, thanks for all the replies guys!!

Out of curiosity, did u draw back after pinning to make sure u didn't hit a blood vessel?

Aspirate? Yes. After I dart I always pull back slightly and hold for a second (using a 25g) so make sure no blood is in the mix. If not, I inject. Although I always have blood after withdrawal though. I think that is due to a bad technique trying to turn around and hit my glute. Today I hit my quad for the first time and it was far more smooth and only a few small drops of blood on withdrawal.
