last year crawford lifted and donated his winnings to the family of johnny perry. class guy. about 10 or more of them rented a big ass bus and came down from "up there". they all went out that night and partied all night too. you aint partied til you get crawford, karwoski and micvicar drunk and listen to their stories all night. three legends in the sport.

OHhhhhh... probably candyass and swampass- they are from wayyyy upstate. i just met her in person a few weeks ago when i saw zane bench 705. they'd probably love jeff- buncha wild aminals.
i'll check out how long of a drive it is for us.

they already know each other very well. and yes they will be down. one of them is benching if not both. hank seargant and wildchld are coming down too and i believe they are north of you guys.

all the info for motel rooms (discounted if you mention the Johnny Perry memorial) is on jeffs board somewhere.

yall come down friday cause the meet starts at 9am on saturday then the strong man is on sunday. geoff dolan was a finalist in last years WSM and he'll be in atendance spotting and helping out both days. they may have a tough man saturday night if they can get 10 entrants. hey...... there ya ago BB, me and you on saturday night. i have ro warn ya though if you get knocked out i cant promise i will not have my way with you while you napping. =0)

damn this is gonna be fun. and like i said earlier a lot of the folks go up the road to raleigh (15 minute drive) after the meet for drinks and whatever else that night.

or did you mean them and the mcvicars? i have a feeling mcV knows a lot of people real well... i'm not one of them though.
i didn't realize hank sargeant was from NY.. he's been posting on another forum i'm very familiar with-you know the one.
Its a long drive for us and we wouldn't be sharing the driving (you know BB's drinking problem. lol), but we'll see. the thought of you taking advantage of him and letting me film it is kinda enticing.

I find nothing incongruous about that. Mentzer had a small frame. And he was very lean. Add 1-2" to that for offseason fat, and there's no reason why thousands of amateur lifters with larger frames couldn't beat Mentzer's numbers. Big deal. What a bullshit argument. Hell, my arms were 16" before I ever started training.


How many Mr. O contestants today get on stage with an under-19" arm measurement?
 
What IA is saying though is that if you look at this or any other poll about this type of thing, its clear the internet adds a few inches to everyones guns. Legit, lean 19's and 20's are pretty scarce in my neck of the woods, yet this poll has me believing that almost a 1/3 of people who voted are sportin them. Lean is the key word though, Mentzer was pretty damn dry and lean in that pic. If we all dieted down to that this poll would look a LOT different. I think Needsize's arms in our banner pic were 17". Its even worse when people post thier numbers. 400+ benchers come out of the woodwork.

well the arguement comes down to there's some "inflated" numbers in here, if you look at the poll results, about 30% or more say they have bigger then 18 inches. Thats 1 in 3 guys.......not buying it, i might know 1 or 2 guys that come to my gym w/ 18 inch muscular arms or bigger, and one of them is a man by the name of Troy Alves.
