How many warmup sets for ME day when doing a WSB template

Ive been told that you need to warmup something like this, if say your 3RM bench was 70kg

set 1 bar x 5
set 2 30kg x 5
set 3 40kg x 4
set 4 50kg x 3
set 5 60kg x 2
set 6 70kg x 3

Doing all these before warmups allows you to lift more ive been told,

but now im hearing that the warmup sets will fatigue you, thus youll lift less then you could of.

This seems really strange when I always thought all WSB routines religiously follow this minimum of 5 set warmup

your thoughts please, as I am really confused

heres what i would suggest to you:
do not get bogged down "counting" sets when doing ME work you should warm up properly and your warm up sets should be just that warm ups..

i dont think it is necessary for you at this time to run percentages but i would keep your jumps uniform like say 10 kilos..do triples unitl it gets hard to complete 3s then drop down to 1 rep sets..at this point you can go until you fail or you can go until you "think" you cannot do aother rep if you add weight..if it works out to a toal of 10 sets thats fine if it works out to less thats alright as well..

remember too that someone who can bench 600 will need to take many more warm up sets then asomeone benching 300..so like i said dont count sets just warm up with small weight jumps and continueworking to a 1rm
