I feel like a newbie for asking this.

But oh well...................

When I inject, I ALWAYS pull back until a little air bubble comes into the barrel, and then I shoot it all in, air bubble included.

I was thinking last night in bed, do you really need to pull back until an ar bubble comes into the barrel? I dont think it is necessary, is it?

Shooting air into your muscle is probably not a good idea.

If you are in a vein when you pull back, blood probably comes into the barrel quite easily right?

Thanks, GM.

The air is already in there bro, you arent hurting anything. After years of aspirating and getting nothing I wondered if it was necessary, then a few weeks before my show was doijng a tri shot, pulled back, and the bitch filled right up with blood

The air bubble injected being bad has been overblown. It would take you injecting 3ccs+ to hurt you. Bottom line, a little bubble in the syringe won't hurt. In fact, some nurses use (I can't remember the name exactly) something called airlock to make sure all the good stuff gets in you.

Only in movies is a tiny little bubble going to kill you.

So, pulling back until a tiny air bubble is sucked up into the barrel is correct and ok? This is while the pin is in my ass. lol........

One guy says no, and two say yes..........YOUR ALL GONNA KILL ME!!!!!!!!! LOL...................:D

You're going to die. You have no idea how to shoot up gear therefore you must immediately forfeit everything and send all your gear to me. E-mail me for my address.

Actually 3 yes's. All from mods. Well, except TX, we call him Admin even though he's pretty much useless around here. ...no wait. :D

And now that Mr Canuck4 has chimed in you can make that 4 yes's. No wait, 5 cause I say it's ok to and I'm inject king. You graduate to that status when you go from ED injects to 2xED injects. :D

Carry on.

BTW, anyone ever notice when you pull back that all the tiny little bubbles get bigger for that half second. Pretty funny. Yes, I've seen it way too many times. :tounge2:

lol, ok, then I will continue to shoot air bubbles in my ass! Its only one small one anyway. Maybe if I dont pull back so hard it will be enough, and I wont even get an air bubble.

This thread is just getting funny now... hehehe. But what do you think?

I think it was buffdoc that said you only have to give the plunger a little flick back, if you are in a vein you will get blood into the syringe. If you pull back too much/hard, you can actually collapse the vein and not get any blood, therefore setting yourself up to inject into that vein without knowing.

Yeh it's definitely good practice to aspirate....Similar to needsize's story I have hit veins before as well. If I hadn't aspirated I surelly would have spiked into a vein....Nothing like wasted gear!!!!

I say if your are putting it anywhere besides your ass you better check it dude,I know a dude that was shooting insulin into the head of his bicep and shot a vein it clotted and run to his heart and they found him dead the next day

bro, i was going to say the exact same thing. listen to tx longhorn. air bubbles dont mean shit and even 3ccs of air bubbles, to kill you or fuck you up would have to be injected into a main ventricle. not an easy task. later.

Three cc's of air directly into a vein is reqired to kill you, not i.m.

I would have to call bullshit on this. Who spot injects insulin i.m. ? If the dude died it's because he od'd on the slin and died of insulin shock. Sounds like an urban myth to me.
