I would like advice on possibly coming off trt

I was having this thought, then clicked on a thread that went into explaining primary and secondary hypogonadism. I was never tested to determine root cause, only TT was low.

I've been on trt almost 2 years and have blasted 2 or 3 times in that time frame. I had been put on trt about 6 years before, but got lazy and quit. So basically ive had low t for at least 8 years or so. I also did one very poorly planned sust cycle with no pct way, way back plus took every new prohormone my local supplement store would say worked well. Yeah, I was dumb. Last time I went on trt, level was ~270

I'm getting to the point of being tired of doing my injections. If I were to try pct and come off, I would blast some hcg first then do nolva and clomid. Chances seem slim I could recover, but im thinking I might try.

After pct, what is the timing for getting my blood work and is the basic female hormone panel a good enough test to determine lh, fsh, and all else I need to know to determine primary or secondary? Since it's very doubtful I'll restart to normal levels, what exactly is the course of action if it's secondary?

That's what i was thinking, but wondering if there was an alternate treatment. At 270, my lifestyle was very different than today so maybe I was hoping it would be a little higher.

270 isn't gonna cut it for me though. Ugh.

Unless you have identified the root cause of your hypogonadism and fixed it you're not going to recover to higher TT levels (most likely). That would just be wishful thinking. Plus your HPTA has been further suppressed the whole time you have been on TRT.

This is the kind of stuff one can say in a doctors office that gets them disqualified for TRT...
mentioning numbers as a target level to feel well.
Instead of focusing on using a different approach to get the message across by saying you just want to feel better as u felt lousy before with low libido, loss of vitality etc....
Mentioning numbers(at the higher end) as a goal to feel better raises red flags...

I was hoping to come off, see where I return to and then start trying to find the root cause since no tests other than TT and a yearly physical have ever been run. I would need to find a new dr or purchase my own tests to begin looking into the cause. I guess I need to decide if it's worth the time, feeling horrible again in the 200's, and the money just to figure it out. Considering the answer most likely is that I need to continue trt.

Dr prescribed I'm on 150mg e10d. I do 100mg e7d normally, but as per my last thread, i upped it to 100 e3.5d in hopes of maintaining a level close to the high range of normal (900's). I backfill a 28g insulin syringe and rotate my sites, but have started dreading shot day rather than looking forward to it.

let me ask you something.. what are you using to inject?? what gauge and size?

Nobody likes pinning. It is a means to an end. I see two ways to get to where you don't feel like pinning is such a huge burden.

1) Stop for a while and go hypogonadal again. You will quickly remember why you went on TRT and embrace that needle again. Or you get lucky and you feel fine off TRT.

2) Run a Blast. You will start actually looking forward to your next injection as you begin to see results. And on the other hand, when you go back to TRT you won't mind pinning the small TRT volumes nearly as much. Injecting .5ml is a lot easier too tolerate after you have been pinning 1-2ml's.

Originally a 25g with approx 1" insertion for glutes and legs. Now on trt dosage I use 28g 1/2" slin pin for shoulders and lats and even once in the leg.

I usually have about 3 days of soreness after each shot, regardless of location. So about the time it stops, I'm injecting again, but different spot.

Only one way to know for sure. I'd just get the private blood tests and SERMs with HCG on your own - find out if you are willing to accept the quality of life without injections - then inform your doctor if you wish to come off.

I can't tell you what to do; this is probably one the hardest decisions I'd ever have to make as I can't forget life pre-trt, but I totally understand where you're coming from.

My .02c :)

MJF, I recently tried this and from my experience I would strongly urge to to rethink this idea. If not throw right out the window.

I do know where your coming from with being tired of pinning as that was one of my issues as well. But the annoyance of pinning FAR outweights the feeling like absolute shit because you stopped pinning :)

Is there a chance youll recover to a somewhat decent level? Possibly. How high is the chance? Very low if you ask me.

You guys are probably right. Blasting may be over for me for a while. Funds are too low for my planned test/tren/mast cycle. I have enough of a stockpile of test actually, but still can't make it work.

I too remember pre-trt and don't want to go back. Neither does my wife, so I guess it's out the window with this idea.

Just blast Test. Test is awesome.

Well with tren madness, it looks I should be able to add that in for the December blast I originally wanted to do.

Thanks for all the advice.

Wow, this thread took a total 180 haha. From coming off to blasting! No disrespect intended, just found it funny. :)

i use a 29g 5/8 and i never ever feel soreness.. i shoot delts and quads..

it can be annoying of course.. at some point im just gonna drop my dosage to 100mg once a week and try to dial myself in there..

but i love the benefits

100mg per week puts me near 400 before next injection. I inject on saturdays and plan my blood draw for saturday mornings before my injection.

After a while we all start to feel like this...
