If u do not sweat, does that mean you are not burning fat as much as someone who does?

If anyone can shed light on this, I'd highly appreciate it.

I am the type that hardly ever breaks a sweat. No matter how hard I go in the gym, I sweat very little. My friends all tell me that I do not burn fat that well as a result. Is this true? I honestly cannot help it. I can bust my ass to the point where I want to pass out(which is how I used to train in speed training when I played D-1 ball) and I would still hardly break a sweat.

Even when I was on DNP last year(please do not judge). I only sweated while working out. However outside the gym I did not break a drop of sweat, and all the logs I've read says that most people will drench their couch by simply just sitting there and watching TV. I however did not sweat once outside the gym and was running 600mg per day for 21 days.

So right now I just got out of the gym. I did an experiment to see how long I had to do cardio on the tredmill to break a sweat. I did not want to burn muscle so I did not put it on a intense setting. I simply put it on 12 inch incline at 3.5mph. Here is a pic of my results:

So it took me 1 hour and 5 minutes, and 500 calories later to sweat. And I did not even really sweat that much....just a damp forehead. And before you guys think I have some super human endurance, I was dying at the 45 min mark trying to catch my breath and all. My friend tried to do this with me, and 30 min into the cardio workout he looked like he came out of the Sauna.

I drink plenty of water and eat good. But simply put: Do I not burn as much fat as others because I hardly sweat?

Best way is is medium cardio--you gotta sweat a little --and eating your macros for the day what ever that is for yourself. Can't build the muscle without eating buddy.

Why would you assume I do not eat? I do eat...6 meals a day. But right now I need to cut fat so I go:
Meal 1: 1 cup of protein and oatmeal shake with multivitamins on the side
Meal 2-5: 6oz of meat, 4oz of carbs, 4oz of veggie
Meal 6: Protein Shake

I know I should be doing 8 oz protein per meal but my budget does not allow for it :(

I want assuming anything, I was just stating a fact! And it's a fact that 99% people fail on. I've seen it for years peeps
Running gear year after year with minimal results and wondering why they are not getting the results they are looking for.

Tips: train big, eat bigger

you dont have to sweat to burn fat...

you could do 0 exercise and burn fat with just a caloric deficit...

so yes, that is a myth.. some people sweat more than others...

i sweat easy for example...

awesome!

can you look at my simple diet please?
Meal 1: 1 cup of protein and oatmeal shake with multivitamins on the side
Meal 2-5: 6oz of meat, 4oz of carbs, 4oz of veggie
Meal 6: Protein Shake

Can I build lean muscle on this or is it too little?

I am 25% body fat and looking to drop down to 13% to start cycle

1. that isn't enough information for me to come close to giving advice..

2.you want to drop the 13 percent.. and you want to build muscle???? you need to get your priorities in order

3. the diet looks very simple.. and doesn't look horrible but i would need much more information

I do agree, but let's be real here. Here is a dude that is 25% bf on a steroid website about to do gear at some point. So I'm assuming he wants to look like a BBer.
It's not going to happen with just eating right, light cardio, and barely working out. It's just not- we know that.

I understand people sweat more than others. But let's be honest - if you
Don't bust your ass doing cardio and working out you'll never get there.

Sorry buddy you need to push yourself to the limit. You need to sweat your ass off. It's not that you can't you
Just need to push a little further, work a little harder.

Now if your just trying to lose some BF and get from 25% to 15% then fine, take it easy and light eat good meals and eventually, and I mean eventually
It will happen.

I'm just trying to be real with you and help anyway I can.

ill say it again.. some people sweat more than others... some may have a condition that keeps them from sweating enough..

Everyone is different for starters. I know triathletes that just don't sweat as their sympathetic nervous system can't give two shits what their intensity is, and they simply don't get hot enough to trigger the sweat response. On the other hand, I know guys (like me) that break a sweat dropping a deuce.

I can think of two possible reasons why you wouldn't sweat that are easy to check though. The first would be hyperglycemia; which a 20 dollar glucose meter can rule out. Take a reading first thing in the morning, and if you're over 100mg/dL, it's time to see a doctor for an A1C. The second time (if the first is borderline, and it's a good idea to anyway) should be done two hours after a meal containing carbs. You want to see a value under 140mg/dL, or again it's time to consult a physician.

The second could be hypothyroidism. Start taking your temperature upon waking, and look for a value above 97.8F (36.56C). If you're below that, I'd get a thyroid panel done including T3, FT3, T4, FT4, TSH, and optimally RT3/4.

I'm sure there are other reasons why this is possible like cholinergic issues, but those tend to have other symptoms that tend to get attention as they're more severe.

My .02c :)

Lol, I'll say it again and be more clear. I don't think the dude has a condition or do you GHOST? If not, follow my advice and bust ass a little harder. I just don't want you
To think that you
Can half ass it- and I don't know enough about hypohidrosis to really get into the facts. However, I do know if it's legit and if you
Really do have it you need to go to a dr ASAP bc it can be serious and a catalyst for lots of other conditions .

This is insightful. As well brotha

Does sweating more mean your burning more fat??Yes, but not in the way you might think. Sweat is water loss, not fat loss. Increasing heart rate (cardio workout) burns calories stored as fat. And if you are sweating, you are working hard enough that your heart rate has hit 80% of your age-adjusted max. The typical person doesn***8217;t sweat from exercise till his or her heart rate hits 80% of the age-adjusted maximum. (We***8217;re not talking about the sweating you do when that black-and-white with the flashing lights stops you when you are driving at a speed typical of Dr. Oz.)

I'm waiting to get down to 20% so I can start my 21 day DNP cycle.

I know this is looked down upon but honestly I am beyond ashamed how I look.

And barrysanders , I appreciate the constructive criticism, but I do know about working hard. I do not want you to think I'm a lazy POS who does 2-3 reps and quits when it starts to burn. I used to play D-1 football and was under one of the most brutal strength and conditioning coaches in the country....who also had an extremely short fuse. So trust me, I know what it's like to push myself.

Truth is I am not a beginner to gear or the gym scene. I used to be huge and ripped my senior year in college. My body was always something I was proud of. But then I got hurt in college which ended my career, my GF(aka love of my live) broke up with me and my dad passed away all in a course of 3 months. So I fell into a depression and quit lifting and being active and just started living a very unhealthy lifestyle with lots of fast food, drugs, alcohol and no exercise. I just snapped out of it 4 weeks ago. I kicked all my bad habits and started dieting extreme. When I say extreme, I mean I never once cheat AT ALL. For me that is hard because I used to eat fast food 2-3x per day.

All I want to do now is get back into my old shape. I have hardly any muscle on me, and have lots of fat. My goal is to be down to 13% by July. I know with DNP it will be possible ESPECIALLY with a good diet to back it up. Once I get to 13-15% I will start hitting Test and Var.

I give you mad props for letting us know all that. Diet and cardio are going to be your future for a little while buddy.

RJ Is good for diet plans- I've heard this for years and years. Do
Your self a favor and get a plan going and stick with it. Get a food weigher- that will be most useful trust me and thank me later.

Do fasted cardio in the a.m for 30min 7 days week. And then lift 5 days in the PM with another 25 min at the end of the workout. Do this with a solid diet and by jan u can achieve that goal.

I'm not telling
You
Anything I already don't do myself - make the time and get shit done

Bro, that is bullshit, last year on my cut I hardly did cardio what so ever And got down to a very low body fat percentage, at the end I did maybe 15 min of cardio a day with my heart rate in the range of 120 bpm post workout, other the that I relied on my diet to shred up
U are arguing with 3j here as well, I think obviously the guy is well educated in nutrition and just not saying this cause I am.one.of his clients but if u go with him you might consider what " u think" your diet is great, and maybe u wouldn't have to bust so many balls doing cardio if your diet was in order bro
