I've bulked and cut in the same cycle with great results, I'm actually doing it now going up to my contest. Bulked for over 3 months, now dieting down for 4 months. I've maintained pretty much all my mass despite losing over 6% bodyfat so far. If you're going to do it, I wouldnt waste time with the "bridge", just go into the cutting.
But Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a must, I've run it at 500iu 2x weekly all the way through and its worked great, even got my wife pregnant after being on over 4 months
