Basically got caught importing steroids. Have court date in a while. What can I expect and anyone know a good lawyer?

Is your record clean? I think it would be somewhat of a "slap on the wrist" depending on how much you brought in. I doubt your looking at jail time if it's a first offence and an amount for personal use, but community service, probation, etc. If it's distribution your pretty much f*cked

I'm not versed in Canadian law broski but trafficking schedule IV in canada is a max sentence of 3 years in prison. Thats a worse case scenario of course. You could always get out with 1k fine and/or 6 months prison. These are the worst case scenarios as I said. We shall chit chat online. I'd advise you to clear out incriminating material on your computer though.

arrest was done via reconnaissance meaning i was not booked yet and will be the day of my first court date

Not guilty! Im 5 for 5 in court just get a lawyer and make up a really good story... when ur on the stand and the judge asks you if you believe in God, say YES.. I always do because it makes you look better becase you are supposedly "under oath"

since I was arrested but not booked/fingerprinted, where does this leave me? I'm not on parole or anything, but since the offence was in a different province, what are the odds of my house being searched?

Basically if they catch you with it you are ok. If they catch you obtaining it, or in this case bringing it into the country you are fucked.
It's a schedule IV drug. If you lived in my city you would get probation probably.

they searched my shit in the airport. I was arrested though havent been fingerprinted or brought to police station yet. This will happen the day I go for my first appearance, and was done bc i had a connecting flight, as I dont live in vancouver.

i had amps in my suitcase that i forgot about, 4 of them. they found those and searched my pockets. i had a big bag of dbol in my cargo pocket and basically admitted what it was. yeah i coulda played dumb but with the test they found they made the connection pretty quick. one of the dudes was big as fuck and probably juiced, he was like "oh yeah d-ball"
