Injecting in middle of glutes is that bad?

Ive been injecting sustanon (1ml) into the middle of my glutes and ive always gotten a lump or intense soreness after i do so, i use a 23g 1.5inch needle (bd syringe) and im 5'11 170lb with almost lean phisique .. After i pin i feel numb in that area too .. My question is did i hit the muscle or did the needle stay between some fat? And is that a bad area to pin?

Should divide your glute into 4 quadrants. You want to pin the upper outer quadrant. Not right in the middle.

You didn't research intramuscular injections before you stuck yourself with a foreign object? You know a simple search here or on youtube will show you proper intramuscular injection techniques? Or did you just hear you're supposed to stick it in your ass?

I would stick to what megatron said. I think their might be a nerve around the middle area im not sure. Shoulders and glutes should be enough if your doing a small cycle. I use to be afraid to pin anywhere but glutes. But I quickly got over that after all my injection spots where sore and I was on a big cycle.

Sciatic nerve is around there. You don't want to hit that!

7" would probably be more appropriate for that.

I always assumed the Sciatic nerve lay deeper than that. Could you really hit it with a 1.5in pin?

Looks like the average depth is about 2-4 inches. But I would think that a pocket of oil could irratate it.

If you hit the sciatic nerve, you would know immediately. Pain, numbness, and tingling would be radiating down the back of your leg towards your knee and possibly as far down as your toes.

There are tons of YouTube videos made by every type of person from bro dudes to people in the med field showing how where why and why not. Lear your body. I did, and personally I choose my thigh. It's in front of you, and pretty obvious where to enter. Unless I have help, my ass (top outside quadrant) seems hard to reach.
