Intro/Need Help Retraining After Shoulder Surgery

Hi all, I am hoping for some help and guidance. I had shoulder surgery and had to have the bursa sac removed on my right shoulder (dominant side) due to severe infection in the sac during repair of the rotator cuff for a 3rd degree tear and tendon and ligament damage. Have completed PT and am now getting back into the gym for working out with weights and building the shoulder back up. Visibly there is a noticeable appearance difference and some pain due to the loss of the cushioning of the bursa sac.

At this point, I'm only able to use dumbbells and on the right it's max of 2lbs with some degree of discomfort and low reps.

My question is, have any of you had this type of injury and retrained? What did you do? What do you recommend?

Thanks for your time. I'm determined to build it back and know I have to take it slow with the shoulder. Just don't want any setbacks or additional surgeries lol.

Appreciate the suggestions. I am looking forward to getting to know you all.
