1kg = 2.20 lbs
Hi Everyone,

I just joined after plenty of time gazing in. Many times I'd be googling for info and be directed here so I knew it was time to become a member and get involved in the community.
Hopefully the knowledge you've imparted to me can be reciprocated towards future ology newbies down the track!

Quick bit about me: I'm 24, male, Australian and 1 month out from my first body building contest. Standing tall at 186cm (6'1) and currently weighing 80 kgs (176 lbs).

I have read all the Newbie-info-threads so thanks for helping getting me up to speed. I didn't realise how much I didn't know until I started reading more...so it's been a humbling experience already!

Regards,
Onk

p.s. I'm just being formal for my first post

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Rastas: Was tempted to just upload the comp photos when I get them. Any photos I have aren't too accurate as I've lost 17kgs over the last year...well mostly in 3 months.
Basically I worked at a bank in Sydney and would be boozing every Friday smashing down copious amounts of beer. When I left that Bank last September I joined a small boutique firm with guys that do tri-athlons. By changing my diet for the better and by reducing the alcohol drunk per week (maybe 1-2 drinks every fortnight), I managed to cut down from 95kgs to 78 kgs by December. Since then I've evened out as I've been trying to grow, so sit naturally around 82-83kgs.

I guess I'm in a different position now as I've grown throughout the year but now with the INBA contest 30~ days away, I've lost a whole lot of weight again through just perfecting my diet. Very worried pre-contest as it's my first, so I think I'll have to get to posting in the other forums; e.g. bodybuilding tips and the nutrition sub-forum; as I could use help to know if what I'm doing is correct. Even if it's too late for this contest to make a material change, I'll know for next time.
