Is 1" too small?

I am currently using 1" pins for glutes at the moment but am wondering if all my gear is reaching my muscle. Its all I can get from the local feed store until I get some offline. I tried going to a couple different pharmacies, but they always give me the same shit about how if they don't have you as a diabetic in their system they can't sell them to you. "..because you could be using them for illegal purposes. Not that I'm saying that." What a bitch!
I am also wondering how high you can pin on the glute.
 
It really all depends on how much fat you have in your ass. 1 inch work fine for me! If you have someone to help you delts are the best imo. Never hit a nerve or a vein there and thats where doctors always do it. Quads kinda suck though I've hit a lot of nerves and had some bad bleeding too. It's all up to preference though.
 
I never had an issue with delts...never hit a nerve anything. Quads are like a mine field for me...seemed like 1 in 4 didn't feel so great. I recommend stabbing slow into the quads...seemed to help a little.
 
Hit outer quads again today..and it was like butter, never feel a thing maybe a little soreness the next day, but nothing serious. And I also use 25g 1"
 
1 inch should be fine if you don't carry a lot of fat. I use 5/8 and 1/2 slin pins in delts all the time. Just depends if in need 1ml or more.
 
I always did quads, nice and slow. Never had a single issue there. Friend did flutes and it literally became more of a pain in the ass than it was worth, so he swapped to delt/quad
 
I do quads the most because I can do them myself without trying to contort my body. No real pain with good gear and never hit a vain
 
The inner quad has more nerves and blood vessels it seems. If you stick to the upper outer part, 5-6inches below the hip bone you should be fine. I hit quads a thousand times with sub-Q (migraine meds) and 1 inch pins for gear for years and never had pain. Now the top of the quad is a different story, plenty of bad things to hit.
 
Always do quads or glutes! Make sure when you do quads its on the vastus lateralis, and upper glute just imagine a. "Plus sign" (+) on whichever glute you are doing and inject on the upper/outer section
