The logic behind it seems to be that it helps you by giving you more energy in the gym, but I don't feel chit and I'd think that all I need is a preworkout without all the carbs and shit. Whatdo you gents think?

Creatine isn't supposed to give energy..it helps increase ATP stores allowing you to train harder and longer.
As others mentioned its the most studied supplement out there, you may not respond to it, just like you may be overdosing which leads to depletion of natural creatine levels, also you may need to use another form of creatine.
