All the Human Grade gear that I have used was "good" for 4 years after production according to the expiration date. If it's UGL gear, you never can be sure when it was produced or in what type of conditions. I would recommend as Kane said to put up some pictures and let us take a look at it. If its a known and reputable UGL, and everything else is in order, I would personally use it. If it's some bathroom brew no-name UGL and it looks like it has been tampered with in any way shape or form, I would chuck it.
