I was reading a biogrophy on Arnold called Larger Then Life, had to read it for a project.

For his routine, he worked arms chest and shoulders 2 and a half hours in the morning, and legs and abs 2 and a half hours in the evening. Meaning, he did the same exact muscles everyday.

Isn't that really bad for you? I thought you strain muscles like that and injur yourself. How come Schwarzenegger came out so damn strong?

What might have worked for him probably wont work for you. Im finding that if I want to put on size than a 3 day power routine lowreps works for me. Grant it since ive been doin pb's routine I can't fit in any of my clothes but im growin.

Arnold is full of shit. Even genetically gifted people on gear can't train as hard as he claimed he has and get huge. He'd have to be a complete freak of nature. Think being full of shit would be a more accurate assumption. And if someone did train the same bod. parts that much week in and week out sooner or later it would catch up w/them and they'd have an injury or something F'd up.

i think arnies routine called for cest/back mon. tues shoulders/arms, wed legs then repeatthe cycle. He probably got away with it cause his 1974 photo shoots he was a freak of nature. For most of us that routine is bizzare. I tried it and felt crippled!

Another question. A lot of Chest excersizes require triseps (I don't meen specifially chest and tris like iso lateral machines, but like some excersizes meant for chest also rely on triseps and use them). Is it bad to do triseps one day, and then the next day do chest? I did tris yesterday and chest today, and I really couldnt do much since my tris were completely soare.

What I usually do is one day tris, next day bis, next day chest, next day legs, and next day chest and tris in a combo (like iso lateral bench press, iso lat wide chest, iso lat incline and decline press, dumbell suicides, trisep benching with hands thumb lenth apart from each other, etc.) but today I just had to do chest. Is it okay to do chest right after trisep day?

Yes bad..

What's workin for me is fewer days grouping together muscle parts.

ex. chest/should/tri one day. legs on it's own day. back and bi's 3rd day. I like hittin the bi's on back and tris on chest day cause their alreadywamed up
