lance armstrong, impact on AAS?

i just got done watching that 2 hour interview about lance armstrong, was impressed they had a whole system organized and went undetected for over 10 years, was curious do you guys think he has any impact on juice now and what people think about it, since he was such a big inspiration to people (even though his live strong shit is over priced :finger: ) just curious on peoples opinions after watching this

Have not watched it and dont care to. Have this thing about liars and cheats that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I dont brag to people I take test to lead a normal life vut if they ask I tell them the truth. Theres something that I was taught by my grandfather and reinforced in the military. All you ever really own freely in your life is your character and your word as a man. If you readily give those up then what else would you not give up just as easy if not easier.

Men like him are revered by young kids, those who are healthy and more so by those stricken by cancer. Can any of you imagine the feeling these kids are having to deal right now. I think though we all know what typenof effect this will have on AAS. Stronger regulation and shittier ugl's charging an arm and a leg. When ever somenone of the likes of Barry Bond or Lance Armstrong get caught it makes it that much harder fpr responsible users of AAS tp try and bring a good light to it.

I feel bad for lance, if everyone was doing it then how was he cheating, i know he should not have done it or whatever, but he is taking the fall for somthing the sport itself was allowing

Which leads us to the moral of the story: Don't get caught and keep people that can prove what you're doing happy. ;)

The public needs to stop being so damn naive about AAS and sports. Sure, I don't want my kid to see some athlete and be like, "Daddy what compounds do I need to take to look and compete like that?", but I see it no different than having to explain a movie with an actor smoking or drinking alcohol. Only big difference being that of those three, the latter two can certainly kill you.

My .02c :)

not a fan of cycling but sports are so much more fun to watch when dudes are on the juice nfl vs college nfl beats it hands down watching bonds hit home runs every game is a lot more exciting then watching a base hit. the way i look at it these guys are 100% human its not like they put robotic arms on them to help them. in sports steroids are tools why wouldnt you use them if you need them

There pro athletes they don't need them. ROFL.

Baseball was way better with steroids. The nfl is great with them.

In his interview Lance downplayed his test usage. He said he used it because his tecticular cancer (makes intuitive sense)

yea i noticed this too, good opinions guys :P, im uneducated in the whole blood transfusion, can someone sum it up quickly for me :P what is it, hows it work etc

I think it's sad that people are so shocked. Hello!!!! This has been going on for years. 90% of professional athletes are using some kind of performance enhances. Lance is going to list the people that doped and he's gonna say "everyone except for the guy in last place" haha. Not to sound like a dick but if you know your competition is juicing or whatever and training like a horse your gonna want to juice too. It's so odd that people are shocked and say how could he do this? I think there's no problem with professional athletes using performance enhancers.

see the average person doesn't really know anything bout juice, they just believe what they see, thats why is a shock, sure someone who juiced could of pointed out, plus even if u think he was juicing there was no proof so yea :P i think the biggest shocker was that they had a fully organized system for over 10 years that went undetected and everyone knew about it that was apart of it

Ya crazy hush hush system.

I don't think doping is even that bad since your using your own blood. I'm pretty sure that you take your blood with higher red bloods cells and store it, then before a contest you reinfect it into your system that way you have better cardio vascular endurance. That's why he could pedal like an animal. I'm not sure about the exact process but am interested as well if anyone knows

i was thinkin the same, but not sure :P

I heard they take you up higher altitudes to induce a higher red blood cell count, then draw your blood out to reintroduce it later.

I respect Lance for the way he conducted himself during the interview. Really feel for him taking the fall for what many people in the sport and many other sports have done. We could always argue how many athletes are juicing and how many arent but the truth is, we may never really know the true figures. Lance and his team had this system going on for +10 years. Who is to say that there isnt a another system like that or better going around in other sports like base ball or nfl that we have yet to discover. People will always find a way to beat the system.

The reason they train in higher altitudes is because it is hard for your body to absorb oxygen, the higher you the less oxygen your body has. So your body will adjust while you train at a high altitude that when go to compete at a lower altitude your body is taking in more than normal levels of oxygen and that gives you a great advantage in a competition. Oxygen is what helps feed your muscles so when lance injected his on red blood cells in an hour before his race it was like taking a mass adrenaline shot.

If anyone thinks most NFL guys don't use juice you are either niave or foolish...I friend of mine played football a few years ago for the university I am currently at (big southern D1 powerhouse school) and he said ALL the starters were on juice. And of those, a few have gone to the NFL. A tiny fraction of guys in the NFL may not use juice but the majority do.

He did pass their test, he cycled smart. when he showed up he was under the medical limits. Only issue he had was being a control freak and an arrogant bastard
