Lift's First Cycle

Thaks Beast, I am by no means lean but not nearly as fat as I was for a while there.

Just got back from legs hypertrophy day. It was killer and I was running on empty the whole time. Thank god midterms are finally over because I haven't been sleeping enough the last few nights and I really need the rest.
 
Today was another great workout and after a couple nights of real sleep I'm feeling much better. I think the combination of stress from midterms and lack of regular sleeping patterns was really bringing out the anxiety from the test last week. I hit 130's x 9 on incline db bench (up 2 reps from the last time) I probably could have done a couple more except my wrists were starting to get really wobbly. I think i need to invest in some of those wrist supporters for pressing. I also strapped 25 lbs to myself for pull ups and the bicep still felt good. Next week on to 35 and hopefully back up to a plate in another week. I'm still sitting around 280-282 but I feel my body composition has changed slightly. I look a lot leaner this time around than I did last time I was 280.

Today marks the end of week 3 and my first 250mg injection (would have been nice to run a gram a week but I had to make myself come down since it's my first cycle and all). Each injection gets easier and less painful afterwards. Another 250iu hcg and the nuts are feeling pretty good. My diet has not been quite where I want it to be this last week. I am getting enough food but too much of my protein is coming from whey and too much of my calories are coming from fast food simply because I need to go to the grocery store. Tomorrow night will be a massive shopping trip that should keep me eating everything in site for at least a few weeks. I'm still at 7 meals a day and will probably go up to 8 in about a week. My goal right now is to hit 290 by the end of school (early june) then be at 300 by July.

I'm gonna have to get me some of them inzers. I need a belt too. Any recommendations (price is a factor)?

Squats today. Finally got back up to 405 x 3 with no belt or straps. I am really down about my squats lately. My best squats are 455 x 5 and 475 x 3 both with wraps and a belt. I lost the most strength on squats when I cut and I have had something of a mental block about them ever since. The last set always feels hard but aferward I feel like I could have given it more. I guess I should look at the bright side I am moving up every week. I have purposefully been avoiding gear until my strength gets back up a little but now that I'm back to 4 plates I'm going to wrap up and see how many I can get next week. I'll give it absolutely everything I've got next time.
 
Oh yeah I can't believe I forgot to mention this, I split my third pair of underwear today. I have certain boxers that are a little older and thus a little tighter than the newer ones. I had forgotten I was wearing one of the small pairs when squatting and sure enough my first rep bottoming out with 225 and bam they're gone. I didn't mind too much because I'm happy to have a little more freedom downstairs lol.
 
I've been there with wearing the wrong set of boxers on leg day. I feel your pain. I couldn't believe the day I wore a pair of silk boxers to didn't have time to run back home and change. Unbelievable.

Just finished the injects for today. Did the whole boat, test, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), and aromasin. A couple of guys in the anabolic forum mentioned if you dart yourself faster it will hurt less going in. I tried jabbing the needle in at a little faster speed than I had been doing and sure enough it went in painlessly. It hadn't been hurting before but this one was definitely easier. I have noticed a bit of testicular atrophy, which makes sense as I am only using 500iu hcg/week. I'm thinking they'll just shrink down to a certain point and stick there until I incrase the dosage. I'm planning on doubling the dosage the last few weeks of the cycle.

As far as progress goes I have pulled out all the stops when it comes to eating. I am baffled by my inability to put on weight the last couple of weeks becasue I am eating a shitload of food. I am still staying steady around 280. I can see changes in the mirror though. I'll admit the lack of weight gain is really frusterating me. I have even been eating plenty of junk and still nothing. I have never had this much trouble gaining weight before. I'm gonna give it another week with the current increase and if I haven't gained anything by then I'm declaring all out war on my body. I'll keep you guys posted on how the workouts go the next few days.
 
lol, welcome to the club of hard gaining! That's weird man, we both seem to be able to gain weight naturally, and now on our first cycle can't gain shit? I gained 10lbs in the first 3 weeks of my cycle - before the cyp kicked in and now nothing!

I can't really figure out what it is, maybe were losing fat and slowly gaining muscle? I dunno.

BTW, I think frontloading may have caused your atrophy, because I still don't have any (week 6) and i'm on 250-300iu/week. Either that or we just react differently. I noticed as well that faster pokes cause less pain, just don't go too fast because I heard that can cause an abscess.

Hahah I know what you mean. I put on 12 lbs before the shit even kicked and now nothing. I though test would make it easier to gain weight not harder.
 
all that early weight was from the eating man. more food digesting in your gut, nutrient and water loaded cells, ect...now youre at holding capacity. increase youre eating until your gaining 1-2lbs a week depending on your goals. weigh yourself at the same time each day and make sure water intake is consistant.

want a good snack? dry oats, choc protein, cocoa powder, splenda in milk stirred up nice and thick. my god its fucking good, and around 800 kcal easy if you use 3+ scoops of pro. it also doesnt fill you up...
 
Yeah I think a lot of the early weight was my body loading back up on water and also my muscles were in a hurry to get some of those nutrients back. I have been increasing my cals and I will continue to increase until I'm gaining. As long as the weights keep moving up and I keep gaining lbm I'll be happy.
 
Another solid upper body strength day. I did decline bb as I usually do about once a month just for a change of pace. I hit 365 x 4 which is decent considering I was off balance from the first rep. Rows were good I moved up to 325 and hit 7 with no belt (every time I need it someone hides the fucking thing, I really gotta buy one). And went up to 85's x 8 for arnold press (these were a little light I had to do a couple regular military press reps at the end) I will definitely be bumping them up next time.
 
Really beat the shit out of my legs today. Hit the leg press for a few then moved on to SLDL's and hit 385x8 and that was pretty easy. On to 405 next week. Then I finished up legs with some narrow stance bodybuilder squats which really raped my lower back. Calves and shrugs and I was out of there, no energy for arms today. My lower back was REALLY pumped today. I'm sure it was the sldl's and squats but if this is any indication of things to come I'm in for some uncomfortable workouts.
 
Last night I injected test, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), and took aromasin. There was some discomfort shooting the oil but today the site is completely pain free. I can't even physically tell I injected.

Workout was decent today. Hit 315 x 5 on incline bench, up only one rep :( I worked out at my university today so I got to do low cable rows. I finished at 290 x 8 and 300 x 8 (300 is the whole stack). Almost back up to pre-cut strength on those. Looking forward to squats tomorrow...
 
still stuck at 280? hit up a buffet a few times a week. nothing like a 5000+ kcal meal. just remember to bring the digestive enzymes...
