Yep go 3J, probably THE best thing you could do right now.

I am considering going through 3J, when funds allow it.

Just started my 3J diet today. Been following it as closely as possible for the last week while at work and am already up 2lbs. Off cycle. Weighed while fasting in a.m. Im gonna start a progress thread when I (hopefully) start my cycle next week. PUMPED!
 
I'm not running 3J right now but I did about 2yrs ago when I first joined the forum.

My grocery bill right now isn't that bad but I get a lot of chicken, beef, and sometimes lamb from my uncle who owns a restaurant. I pay about $100-120 a week and that's for veggies, fruits, certain cuts of steaks and whatever meat or chicken I need if I run out from my uncle, rice, oats, granola, Greek yoghurt, cereal, eggs, etc. I also get a good amount of protein from shakes but I just buy a 10lb bag of whey


You could definitely re-use a diet plan. All you'd do is adjust the amounts of each meal or some meals more or less for a bulk or cut

Very nice, chicken in the states is slot cheaper then here in canada, sucks chicken here is like gold
 
Got somebody helping me with my diet, gonna dial it in and see how it goes, awesome pumped as well to start cutting up
Last time I got so frustrated when I was chopping off excess bf but once again my diet was off so it starting dipping into my muscle, but like I said I ate like shit before cusse I had one hing on my mind to lift max weight pl, changed out routine up and chopped it off went from 240-250 down to 198, but wasnt dieting right, felt tired with no energy all the time, so hopefully ill be able to keep the new muscle I built and cut at the same time

If you find yourself hungry on such little intake or 'cheating' your diet, start drinking 10-20oz of water 15min before your meals and add in as many low calorie veggies as possible like lettuce, broccoli, kale, spinach, tomatoes, celery, etc. They will add volume to your food intake while adding very few calories so you stay within your calorie and macro goals.

Edit* also make sure to get enough fiber. This will help keep you full also among other functions.

While I don't claim to know anywhere near as much about nutrition as captain planet here, I do think it's a bad idea to dilute all of your stomach acid before eating a meal...
Eat the meal, eat the veggies, wait 15 minutes and down all the water you want.

2 cups of water prior to eating a meal will in no way dilute all of the hydrochloric acid in the stomach. The point of the water first is to help trigger the stomach's message to the brain signaling satiety. And as stated, it's only if he has trouble feeling full on a reduced caloric intake.
 
JUST HIT UP 3J!!! God...I swear on everything whoever you are going through will be shitty compared to him. Giving you macros is not a diet
 
Matt clearly said he's working on the exact meal plan with this guy, so I think you guys should wait before claiming its going to be poor.

Also, his macros include high protein and a caloric deficit - so he'll lose fat no matter how you look at it :)

Your certainly love your beef don't ya haha. I eat three diff meats, chicken beef and turkey. Just for variety so i dont get too bored lol.
