Looking for participants - AAS Study

I've attempted to contact a couple moderators on this board regarding my AAS study. Unfortunately I haven't heard back from any of them. That said, none of them denied my request for approval either. I apologize if this offends anyone for posting without approval, but I did give it an attempt. If there are any questions/concerns from moderators or members, I'm more than willing to discuss them.

Thank you for viewing this post. I'm a 4th year Urology resident performing a study concerning the current usage patterns of testosterone, associated AAS, and potential side effects including fertility outcomes. To be a candidate for the study you must be a male (18+) with a history of testosterone use (in any form with or without other AAS) for any period of time. People providing their own TRT/HRT are encouraged to participate, but those on TRT/HRT with physician guidance are excluded. This is not an anti-steroid study, we are merely looking at usage patterns, reasons for use, and our primary interest is future fertility since we see many similar patients in clinic. The study is an anonymous 5 minute survey. No future contact will be made with study participants and there's no legal liability. I would greatly appreciate your time and participation.

Feel free to post any questions in this thread and I will address them as promptly as possible. When the results are in and I have the manuscript written, I'll be sure to share them with all participating forums.

The study is currently posted on 5 AAS forums, 2 bodybuilding forums, and 1 HRT/TRT forum. In addition it has been distributed widely in my local area. I have accrued ~250 participants as of this morning. I have had excellent feedback from most people taking the survey and they have been great to work with.

Megatron28 I sent you a PM concerning removal of my study link. Please let me know your concerns. As I said in my PM, the study is associated with arguably the best clinic in the nation and is IRB approved to be ethical, legal, and of minimal risk to participants. There's no legal repercussions and responses cannot be linked to individuals.

Greatly appreciated,
Chankle

If this is a real study, what is your real name and what medical school do you attend? Which doctors are conducting the study? Can you post a link to the study's charter? Who is funding the study? What will the study's results be used for? Is there a hypothesis that the study's authors are trying to prove?

Yes this is a real study. I can send you my real name in PM if you'd prefer as well as my NPI (National provider identification) number. Myself and our andrologist are the primary investigators in the study. No funding is required for the study as we are not paying for participation (would skew results). The initial data collection is to define the cohort of individuals using AAS. There's nothing in the current literature that describes the cohort. Questions I want to look at. Future fertility rates, what substances are being used, how long, are people having health problems at a higher rate then the general population, are they using PCT, are gentleman with low normal T that physicians don't generally consider candidates for HRT turning to AAS for self treatment. I think the study has huge potential to open up new research avenus, but first we need to look at who we are researching. Ie... people on forums like this. As I posted above, I've had great results at other forums and people are excited for the data. I've also tried to contribute to forums for instance by answering questions about vasectomies, fertility, blood pressure, etc. I'll resend the link to you via PM so you can check it out.

Thanks

I can't post a direct link (probably because I don't have enough posts yet). Highlight the text, right click and hit copy. Then paste it into your browser address bar. Thanks for your participation.
