Massaging "under the muscle implant" question.

I was using Bactroban...it's a prescription, then the doc switched me over to something even stronger. Going to my friend's place for a culture in an hour. This will at least determine exactly what kind of infection we're dealing with. :)

Good luck, sweetie...let us know what happens:)

I thought this was pretty cool...when they do the culture, they will determine what kind of bacteria is causing the infection, THEN they're gonna try out 6 different antibiotics to see which one works best on what I've got! Gotta love technology. The doc. said it'll take 3 days to grow, so I'm guessing I should know on Tuesday what's going on. Right now it's getting worse and now the other breast is having problems too. GRRRRRRRRRRR.

I did get into the gym and did bi's and tri's tonight for the first time since surgery. I felt kinda goofy using such light weights, but damn, even just some of the movements without weights are funky. It was weird feeling the implant move under the muscle when I did bicep work. LOL

its weird isnt it , not being able to lift like you did. I was astonished how only 5 lbs did me in! had to use salad tongs for about 2 months when I had to reach for stuff. I also bought one of those shower heads like they have at hospitals where you can take it off the mount and hold it in your hand. was real helpful when it was so hard to move and i didnt have anyone there to help me shower. good luck with your results. your hanging in there!

Wait until you're able to do chest work again...that was a weird, almost yucky feeling...

It's just a weird feeling; you'll get used to it, but initially the "jumpy" feeling was too weird for me. Even now, if I go heavy, I can feel them jump or "pop" up and down...

When I'm using the Pec Dec and watch myself in the mirror, you can see the jumping and it still looks weird to me...

hehe, like how they contract up to your collar bone? :) and youre like "hope nobody notices" " no really, I have really good pec muscles, yeah. I can flex 'em like that...."

lol!! Yeah, that really gets a few heads turning, huh?

lmao!! A good trick to do at parties; "hey look at me, I can move my boobs up and down"! :laugh3::laugh4:

Well...as I thought...I've got a staph infection of some sort. Got half of the results back today that let me know that I've got some strain of staph. Tomorrow I'll find out which antibiotic kills it best and the doc will write me up a script for it. I'm so glad my nurse friend suggested that I have the culture done. I told her, then showed her, what was going on and she suggested the culutre. I called her today and thanked her...if it wasn't for her, I'd still be in the dark here. Let's hear it for NURSES!!!

Good to know what's finally goin' on!! Now you can get the proper antibiotics and be done with this once and for all!!!

Get Well soon!!!:)

Good luck MrsP. That would be so tuff to have them and not yet enjoy them. I need to go a little bigger yet. The first time around I could only go so big cuz I was way too small to begin with. Now im just plain Average size. Like if I wear a normal t-shirt , sweatshirt or sweater, You cant even tell I have them. But the doc said 2nd time around is 10 times easier. The pocket is already there, so alls you're doing is streaching it a little... time to save up again.....

Damn Puddles ....

You've gone through so much for this..

Hope you are doing fine now..

No pain, no gain, right ladies?

Right now my glutes are killin me! I had my second shot of antibiotic in my butt about 2 hrs. ago...yesterday it was the right side, today the left...tomorrow is leg day and I know I'm gonna be hurtin, BUT...YAYYYYY!!! I'm back in the gym now doing all body parts except for chest. Tomorrow I start another antibiotic...an oral for 5 days and we're expecting everything to go well with this. I think the first shot from yesterday is already helping, so I'm in a good positive mood...just really tired.

I have seen the implants jumping already and it looks and feels wicked, but I don't care. I'm now almost 8 weeks post-op and the implants still haven't dropped so when I'm wearing a tank top I'm still looking fake, but at night when we massage them down they look pretty good...I can't wait for them to finally settle down into the pocket.

So, my fingers are crossed that these antibiotics will work and I'll heal up and be able to go swimming...summer is HERE!
