most... painful... leg... workout... ever...

Mr. dB

Angry Old Curmudgeon
So I load up the bar to 135 for my first set of warm-ups, step under the bar, find that groove between my traps and my rear delts, stand up, and OUCH!!!!!!!!! There's a zit on my back right in the sweet spot where the bar is riding!!!

Had to endure that for two warmup sets and four work sets. I think it cost me at least one rep per set.

Most painful leg work-outs should be most painful in the legs. Otherwise they are a waste of time.

LOL... sorry mr. db.. but thats funny. i've had to skip many workouts from sunburns over the last few years, but never a zit.

I feel your pain dB, literally. I had a killer zit that made squatting impossible, the pain really is something you have to endure to appreciate.

But I didn't skip the workout, I endured. :)

you shoulda asked someone to pop it for you..better yet put the big dumbass pad on the bar and im sure it would have popped that zit lol
:insane2:

I can't squat with the pad, the bar feels unstable to me.

I'm not real comfortable squatting on a rubber mat either. At my gym there are two older squat racks upstairs with all the leg machines, in a rubber matted area; and a proper power cage downstairs in the freeweight room with a "diamondplate" platform to stand on. I always use the cage, even if I have to wait for someone to finish doing their curls or leg lifts in it.

Mind over matter.

This is very true, i remember when i was doing heavy bench dips of tris and the plates were coming together pinching my stomach. did not pay attention to the pain because too focused on the pump!
