my ass is small

so up until about a month ago, ive NEVER worked out my legs before. there really weak. il put it this way. i bench press nearly twice what i squat. but im working on it, and ive been increasing fairly rapidly. but my lower body def does not match my upper body. i do squats, leg extensions, adn leg presses. but...whats the best thing for putting meat on my ass.
 
If you feel the need to do leg extentions keep it to one finisher set, they aren't going to build your legs much and certainly not your ass.
 
dead lifts hurt/strain my back to much, at the moment...my waist and lower back is tiny...but in a good way. what about about lounges?

Than your form probably needs some work. You're supposed to feel stress in your back but it should not be painful.
 
lunges are a good exercise, but stick to the basics
controlled deep squats, hack squats
lower the weight on DL until you get your form right, you won't regret it in the long run
 
SLDL and squats will put size on you. definitely work on your deadlift, strengthen your lower back and hams with pullthroughs and back extensions. you shouldnt feel any pain when your form is correct.
 
Squats and deads are all I do for legs, aside from good mornings, and they are still growing like crazy. Do deadlifts, they are great.

my ass is disproportionately large compared to my calves...genetics i'd say, but also because of ass-related sports (good setup for a joke, i know). to keep the rump round and firm, i do squats (deep, low weight), presses (mix up foot placement), lunges, and (while it looks really gay) donkey kicks (weighted of course; use the cable rack).
 
My butt is very big compared to the rest of my body and it's due to squats and deadlifts. It's very important that you do full squats, ass to grass. My butt was very little before I started doing these excersices.
 
damn so i did the DLs a couple hours, got some guy to show me good form...i love it now.....but when i tie my shoe or something my legs and hamstrings are wobbly and shit now...good stuff. thanks for the input everyone

That is because your back si weak, that is normal. Keep good form and it will disappear in a few weeks.
