My first tat

Yeah the alcohol causes you to bleed more since it thins your blood. Other medications do that as well, most steriods will affect it as well, but not seriously that you cant get work done while on cycle.

Thanks :) I cant wait till the color is done and the tail is added. I have had 2 sittings to add color (have 1 more, and then can start on the tail). It looks sooo much better/different since the color got added. It's amazing what a lil change can do :)

I'm already plannin out my next tattoo... all my tats mean something to me. They either mark changes in me, events in my life and/or things that are important to me. I didnt get my first tat till I was 27, and I had wanted it for over 5 years before I got it. Now when I plan out a tat I make sure I still want it after at least a year before I go to get it. I want to be sure since what I get will be thre for the rest of my life.

I think its great that you designed it, makes it mean sooo much more to you.

My husband has kids from his first marriage and both me and him have tattoos. Also my father has tattoos (old Navy tats from like the late 1940's / early 1950's). Him having tattoos didnt influence my decision. It actually made me more hesitant since over the years they have changed in appearance and he claims he regrets having gotten them. I think you tattoo will make your kids more conscious of being able to make their own decisions on whats right for them and their bodies when they are old enough :)

excellent point hon,my daughter just turned 18 back in Jan and she wanted me to take her to get her first one,it was a small chinese symbol on the back of her neck, which if her hair is down you cant see it,but she wears a pony tail alot and you can see it,shes proud of it,and she told me,daddy i got it cause you inspired me to show people im omy own person and i want to express who I am......that just hit home with me;)

Exactly how I feel, I felt it was the right time for me & it does have a lot of meaning to me..
You are right, kids need to be able to grow up to into independent individuals that can make their own choices & decisions..

Good luck on your next one ;)

Looks great! Sometimes it can be hard to find a good tattoo artist you can trust with your body.

I personally will never have a tattoo. But mostly because I am ADD and I know what I may like one season, the next I may hate.
