I don't know how old your son is? The penalties vary greatly, for users it's not much in most cases they won't pursue users, only dealers. He needs to keep his mouth shut, as long as nobody rats him out he won't get any attention from local LE or some D.A. trying to get some publicity.
I recommend you watch the documentaries "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" and National Geographic's "The Science of Steroids". Steroids were outlawed in 1990 by congress, despite the opposing opinion of the FDA, AMA, and DEA.

this is great advice right here..........im a father so i know how you feel.
although i disagree with your point that if its illegal you should toss them, i mean if he found your cubans in a box in the den and threw them out would you be pissed?
the bottomline is there are a whole lot of things out there that are worse than steroids..........namely fast food.
so to put this in perspective for you, a guy looking to increase his physique is a lot less likely to get into trouble with the law than the guy looking for some crack to get high.
the steroids you mentioned are not dangerous to one's health unless they are abused, like anything in life. so if i were his father i would sit down with him and ask him why he decided to use AAS. you might find there is a rather logical explanation. steroids are less harmful than alcohol..........if used intelligently than bot much harm can be done.

relax dad, give him back the stuff and tell him that you may not necessarily agree with his decisions, but respect the fact that he is a grown man. let him know that if he chooses to pursue the use of steroids then you would appreciate it if he did not do it under your roof.

I think you're in a tough spot and can appreciate your dilemma. I also appreciate (and so will he) that your coming to a site like this to get the facts about what he has and what repercussions are involved with using the gear he has on hand.
First of all -- all of his gear is illegal, so there's no need to candy coat any of that reality. With the exception of stuff older guys like me acquire via our docs for hormone replacement therapy (HRT), all AAS use is illegal. At age 24 I'm sure he doesn't have a docs script for having testosterone or other stuff.
Secondly, he is old enough to use AAS without causing damage to growth plates and he is at an age generally accepted by most of us who have gone down this road agree is OK to begin running responsible cycles. He's also old enough to make his own decisions about what he is and is not going to put in his body. The complicating factor here is it's your house and I don't give a damn how old he is, he should still live by YOUR rules. If you're really not OK with what he's doing then you two, as adults, need to come to an understanding about how to proceed and what the consequences are for not following the agreement.
The question about doing harm to himself by using AAS is a whole different can of worms. We, on this forum, are probably a little biased. Just like if you asked an MD the same question, he or she would also be a bit biased in their opinion. What I can tell you is AAS are like any other drug in the respect that they can be used responsibly and to the benefit of the user and they can also be used abusively to the detriment of the user. MANY, MANY people over the last 30+ years have benefited from using AAS to varying degrees. I can say without hesitation that many more have benefited than have been harmed. The key to running safe cycles is knowledge, access to a good and reliable source, and moderation.
Some forms of AAS come with greater risks than others. Anyone looking to run a cycle should take the time to gather as much information about their options as possible. The fact that he does have some PCT chemicals already on hand leads me to believe he's done some research and I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't his first rodeo. In moderate doses any side effect of most AAS can be dealt with rather easily, and with the proper PCT that vast majority of users have no long or short term detrimental affect from running a cycle.

Excellent post Detroit Oak and as a father I can totally relate to your concerns when it comes to your children. I found out a few weeks ago that my 19 year old son was smoking pot and even tho i wasnt the happiest about it i voiced my opinion on the subject and also mention that if I heard or saw him popping any pills i'd knock all his teeth out but that I would accept the pot. I smoked it some myself in my younger days and personally see nothing wrong with it in moderation. My son knows that I use AAS and has voiced his concerns as to what he has seen on tv and such about them and I take the time to ease his concerns as he knows I research everything thru and thru before doing it. Now to the other side of this, landlord or not you have no right to decide to just go searching thru his shit and take it just because its your house. Police cant even just decide to search something and do it. You are going to end up hurting your relationship with him in the future with this type of behavior. he is a 24 year old man that could definately be doing a hell of alot worse things then AAS and you are making his decisions for him. I think you need to step back and look at the whole picture with consequences and all. good luck with everything..,..

Give the kid back his gear.. If you don't then all he will do is go out and get more. Save him the hassle and the cash. It's not really that big of deal. He is running it to look better and be stronger. Not like is is injecting speed or coke for christ sakes..

I would much rather have my son on AAS then all the drugs you see every day on the news.
Crack seems to be the drug of choice in my part of the USA. Seems like an everyday occurence where people of all ages are getting busted for it.
I know he smokes pot. So did I as a kid growing up. Drank beer at many a Keg Party too!
I would be pointing my son to this website and encourage him to learn all he could about AAS instead of listening to "some guy" at the gym or one of his 21 year-old buddies who know next to nothing...

the solution is this. you may be his parent but he too is an adult and understands the repercussions for his actions. at this point he has been utilizing anabolic steroids (hopefully in a responsible manner) and to trash them would be downright detrimental to his overall mental and physical health.
don't agree with what he is doing? kick him out of the house. but trashing his steroids is hardly the ethical thing to do in this case. that is way too pop finding little 14 year old johnny's pot stash and giving him a good lecture and spanking. you are in no position to be doing this to him anymore in life.
i'll tell you what. if i found my steroids and my kid was under the same circumstances as yours, the first thing i would do is talk to him. for all you know he is well versed on the subject, and additionally what if he hypothetically has gotten a doctors prescription for testosterone replacement therapy. it normally isn't given until 30+ but if the right doctor was consulted it wouldnt be completely out of the question.
i think you really better learn to respect your adult son's boundaries better. the way to do this just as with all the other apparent issues i have adressed in my response is communication. there is a very apparent lack thereof between the two of you.

just fyi, landlords can 'inspect' not search. there is a difference. that also usually requires 24hrs notice to boot.
he is 24. hes paying rent. he has a right to privacy unless he signed it away with a lease agreement.

This is just my opinion but i feel as though steroids have made me healthier. Ever since I started taking them I've quit smoking pot and ciggs, I stopped eating fast food, Almost never drink alcohol anymore, I never drink soda, I take multivitamins, and even sleep better. My point is there's a lot worse things your son could be doing and these substances could be a factor in keeping him away from those things... Nobody gets arrested for personal use of steroids, shit ronnie colman is a cop!! Also the legality doesn't mean shit cuz there's legal substances out there that he could take instead that would be much worse for his body like most prohormones. And he NEEDS that tamox because without his pct he could really fuck some shit up... like not have kids or destroy his test levels for good.
Don't sweat it, he'll be fine! Why don't you join him in the gym, roid up with him and get freakin huge and stronger than Superman together! Nothing like huge muscle, the mind blowing muscle gains along with your strength and sex drive going thru the roof!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roiding can be done safely while still making mind blowing gains!!!!!!!!! Nothing hotter than men our age into muscle, getting freakin huge, stronger than superman, insanely horny and juicing!!! It's easy to abuse AAS, but hard to OD. Long term damage can be done, but it's possible to continue safely on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for decades. I know guys that have been on T without pause for 20 years.
Would I want my son to be on them? It depends... If he was super smart about it and not willy-nilly, then I'd be excited for him to get bigger, stronger, faster. If he was a dumbass about it and doing it solely to impress chicks then I'd have to have a sit down with him. I would demand that he have bloodwork and checkups at at testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) clinic. It's expensive, but at least you have a physician involved.
