ok yea durrrr forgot about avocados. im curious, how do you eat/prepare these? I like guacamole, so ive always wanted to try an avocado.

i just "pop" them out of there shell and either eat them raw (very bland tasting this way...very)

but typically i either place them on plate mashed season with pepper/onion powder/garlic powder/crush red pepper and then place scrambled egg mixture over top of it. i have a thread with a recipe i use...i have sense dropped the bacon out of it though.

or i place avocado in bowl
drain tuna, place in bowl
seasoning to taste (pretty much same as above for me)
then add in Pico De Gilo (sp)
sour cream dallop
mix and eat..and surprisingly it tastes better than it sounds.

sounds good, ill have to try it. that reminds me, i saw an awesome looking avocado + tuna recipe in mens health a while ago that looked really good. ill have to dig through my old issues and find it.

ill have to find some carbs to mix with it though.

If you like guacamole, all you have to do is take an avocado and crush it up with your favorite brand of salsa mixed in and a little seasoning to taste and a splash of lime juice. Eat it with some multi-grain baked crackers-and you have yourself some healthy goodness.

My girl will sometimes make me a breakfast sandwich with eggs, either lean ham or center cut bacon (same fat content as turkey bacon and tastes WAY better) and then she just puts slices of fresh avocado and some salsa on it. We use either a multi-grain bagel or multi-grain bread (which we buy fresh from the local baker so we can slice it as thin as we want). This is a nice hearty meal especially if I'm going to have a long, heavy day ahead of me.
