Just wanted to do an intro as I've been lurking, reading, & absorbing info for forever.
I'm 31
5'7
141lbs
Bf 21%

I'm a mom of 3 and had my 2 bio kiddos back to back, which took a major toll on my body (they are 3 &4 now). I let the first year with two that close in age put my own health on the back burner. My youngest had major sleep and dietary issues until age 2 and I found that somehow my mindset was set to "function" and not "enjoy life and take care of me also". I have the most supportive husband ever that works his tail off so I can be a full time mom, so I always felt bad asking him to get up with our youngest when he had to work for 5am to 6pm every day. Our youngest never slept for more than 45 mins at a time until age 2. I was constantly in a fog. I can't stress enough how important rest is to the body and I just wasn't getting any. When I hit 180lbs 18 months ago, I finally broke down and my husband started taking turns with me getting up with our youngest. My husband is a trainer and he started taking the kids during his lunch break so I could get my workouts in. The saddest thing of all this is that I am a nutritionist and trainer also so I KNEW better than to let myself go. Even so, it happened and I'm happy to say that I've spent the last 18 months getting back to myself and am happy to now have the energy I need to be a good, fun mom and sexy wife for my husband.
I lift on a 6 day split and teach a cardio class 4 nights a week now. My diet is dead on and my goal is to drop some more body fat and get to 18%.
Sorry to ramble, just wanted to introduce myself since I have crossed over from lurking to posting every once in a while.
Thanks for letting me part of this community. :)

Hi Welcome ! :)

First off, congrats on your weight loss !!
I can totally relate to your story, as moms we have such big responsabilities & after 75 days without REM sleep the last thing u want to do is an hour cardio...lol

It's really great that you have lost this weight & that your making changes to a healthier & happier u. It's amazing what feeling good about ourselves can do for our self-esteem.
A happier you= A happier mom, happier kids & happier husband.

Happy to have u here :)

Keep us updated on your journey !

welcome hi i am also newer here its good to hear that you lose your weight as much you want that and spend a cheerful life. But you should share your diet plan with us.

Thanks everyone! I started my journey over a year ago, but only began taking measurments and pics on March 14th of 2011. On March 14th of this year I will post all my measurments and progress for a full year. There are so many ladies that join here that want to lose baby fat or just lose body fat and ask if aas is the way to go. I have trained and worked hard and didn't use anything but diet and lifting/cardio to get there. I want to post my results over a 12 month period to help illustrate that there really isn't a quick fix. Hopefully it will help some of the other ladies reading to concentrate on getting diet and training a firm lifestyle change. I didn't put the weight on overnight and I didn't get rid of it overnight either. It took time and dedication...period.

Look for my one year progress post come March! :)
