Olympic lifting

Hey guys, I trying to get some posts so I can be more in the loop about pinnacle. Does anyone else here do anytype of Olympic lifting? I do a limited conjugate system to help with my snatch and clean & jerk. Has anyone had any good results on this type of system?

i do a basic monday wednesday friday back/legs/chest heavy basic compound lifts type routine, and do oly lifts on saturdays, however i just started with the oly lifts recently. prior to this i did hangcleans on back day, the volum just became too much however. i think the oly lifts are great for power and explosiveness development, as well as recruiting type IIA muscle fibers, which really have the potential to grow. i mean shit, look at olympic lifter's traps and quad development. not only do i want to get bigger and stronger, i also like functional strength and explosiveness, so i do oly lifts.

i'm doing something similar with the oly lifts on sat or sunday but looking into joining a weightlifting club. what do you think of replacing either back or leg day with an extra day of oly lifting?

in my opinion, the risk of injury that the snatch and clean & jerk pose are just not worth the benefits u get from doing them... u want some good exercises that are just as demanding try some heavy ass dead lifts, farmers walk, and power clean and press. i used to also do single arm dumbbell clean and presses (1 dumbell not 2) all these are just as hard as those olympic lifts. just not as stupid. and i do think they r stupid moves because u have to lock out which is an incredibly dumb thing to do with any weights. oh if you do have it available to u, do tire flips , i used to flip sequoia tree trunks, since they r as wide as a tractor tire. it is crazy hard bro

i don't see how the snatch poses any more risk for injury than any other lift, especially a deadlift. if you have the mobility and technique, it will only help to prevent injuries. just like with any other exercise. you sound like the people who are against deadlifts because "you'll throw your back out!". these people are just scared to do work. my back has never been more painfree, stronger and less injury prone than it is now that i've been doing deads for the past year. same goes for the snatch, less shoulder pain and much better mobility. yeah can you fuck yourself up doing oly lifts? of course. just like any other lift if you don't know what the fuck you are doing.

Those are good for sports I hear, Ive been meaning to get into something more towards it. But I hear its good for strength and agility more then gettin buff like isolation workouts.

isolation exercises don't do shit for "getting buff". heavy barbell compounds. and yes oly lifts do get you bigger, as long as you EAT!

Well I mean Diced. Like for girls to like you. I guess. I need 2 get a proper workout program set up for me for Getting Honeys to like me, being strong and Agile for my sports such as BMX, Jiu-jitsu, and MMA.

again, any lift requiring joint lockout is way more risky than other lifts. the olympic lifts are like the only lifts where lockout is required... i guess you could use it safely by doing it with 50% of a max weight.

no reason to go extremely heavy if you aren't competing. i just think they are great lifts for overall power and explosiveness, as well has giving you a nice athletic look. by the end of my oly lifts every week i'm fucking drenched in sweat and almost have to crawl out of the gym. i'd say 70% of your 1rm and just keep doing singles, making sure to reset properly and when form starts to break down stop.

Lol at thinking single arm dumbbell presses are as hard as the olympic lifts. You have no clue what you are talking about.

The only lifts that require lockout? Last time I checked you had to lock out a bench, squat, and dead as well for it to count as a made lift.
