you just described your kidney area. dont mess around, go to the doctor.

many guys have lower back problems. I learned that it was from having extremely tight lower back muscles. Women can sit and then totally lay forward to the point where their entire upper body is laying on their legs...that are extremely straight. Guys on the other hand...a very different story.

I don't think many of you could do that. I know I can't. Sit up straight with your legs straight out in front of you. Then try to(keeping your back straight like the women) lay your entire upper body down on your legs. Many guys can do it if they do it the wrong way. I can do it the wrong way. (keeping you back completely straight is the right way)

We tend to keep the lower part of our back straight up and then our middle to upper back lays down. So if you picture it in your mind...it looks kinda like an L when it should look like a V with one side straight. Hopefully you all aren't confused.

We are very infelxible when it comes to our lower back. I tried stretched those muscled by keeping my back straight and I didn't go forward that much. So if you all stretched that further and further every day for a while then that would help. If it weren't so hard to make that a habit I would do it.

yes hamstring stetches help lower back tightness.it is the best therapy for it,but extreme back pain maybe alot of things just as another member mentioned kidneys, disk problems or just muscle tightness go to the doc find out whats up if just tightness he will definately tell you to stretch if disk problems that can be taken care of by anti-inflamatory steroids such as mederol prednisolone if kidney infection a good antibiotic should do the trick along with some cranberry juice and water.i'm not a doc but i have been through all of these things.if it were me i would see the doc asap!

You seem to have a few injuries - do you not have health insurance? If you can see a doc for minimal expense then you should definitely go. If, for some reason, you can't or won't then I would stretch and strengthen the lower back. I was rear-ended in an auto accident and it took a long time to get my lower back to the point it could support my upper body properly. Stretch the lower back as well as the hamstrings and do some light-weight lower-back work.
