pin fast or slow ...

What do you guys do to reduce pain when pinning , i hear that going straight in fairly quick is better for less pain , where as going slow hurts more.
Also ive heard about rubbing the area a bit to desensitive it slightly and warming the gear , goign in on a 90* angle etc

Not too fast or too slow. Just go at a constant and steady rate.

Warming the gear before injection can help it go through the needle easier. DONT rub the injection site. There are crystals in the gear that you are rubbing and makes the injection site irritated.

You can apply a topical anaesthetic such as lidocaine to reduce the pain as well as using a smaller needle. 25g 5/8" will cover most all gear and contrary to popular belief, you can inject successfully into your glutes with a 5/8" needle

i put the vial in front of a mini heater for a little to heat it up. With a 25g, your skins gives in really easily....it just goes in effortlessly. You dont wanna dart it in, but dont take ur time with it either, just put it in. Once its in, i inject slowly as to avoid any pressure irritations.

I try to push the needle in quick but smoothly and inject very slowly. I use 25g and heat up the test prop that I'm using right now because it helps a bit with pip but don't need to with cyp.

Definitely go slow...slow as you can stand. What's the hurry?

Get a heating pad and heat up your oils in it till the vials are bordering on "hot". Get the alcohol swab out, swab the top of the vial, oil should go in the syringe EASY.

Swab the area you're injecting, slowly push needle in(doesn't have to be terribly slow) but then inject the oil as slowly as you can stand...around a minute is fine depending on what compounds and how much oil.

Then, most important part, i would argue, sit on your heating pad(i.e. if you pinned glutes) for 5 mins or so.

I try to go at least 1 minute for 1 ml injections... In my personal experience it helps with PIP the slower you inject

Pinning and injecting slow helps me with PIP. I used to inject fast but realized after a few times the slower I injected the less PIP I experienced

Sounds like its a personal preference. Try them both and see what works best for you. I would never rush it tho IMHO.

Once u break the skin is as smooth as silk. I did my first jab and I went slow, once skin broke nothing got in the way, aspirated with a flick of a thumb nail and took about a min to inject.

Im comfortable with slow, also if you ever hit a nerve when harpooning it you're in for a good time.
