Possible site injection infection??? First post

I had injected into my glute 1cc of Test-E from a vial that I had been using for a while. The next day I had the flu and the injection site was painful (virgin muscle) and had swelled without any redness. The day after the injection site had turned red and was starting to hurt even more but the following day the redness had almost disapeared. It is still swollen though and hard to touch.....Is this an infection? I had injected from the same vial into my other glute and had no problems like this.......SO WORRIED!!!!!!!



P.S Not as painful as the day before

I would wait a few days. More than likely you're fine though.keep an eye on it and just make sure it doesn't have any redness or fever

Most of the redness has disappeared but still hurts....not as bad as the day before though

More than likely you're fine. As stated above, its virgin muscle, plus it could be attributed to your pinning technique also

It could also be due to the fact it was more towards the middle than the outer upper area of the glute

I really dislike quads......got infected once and was the worst 1 week of my life.

If the redness is going away, not hot to the touch and your not running a fever you dont have an infection. Id also agree with everyone that you hit a virgin muscle.. Just make sure to clean the area very well prior to pinning and wipe the tops of the vials with alcohol before drawing..

flu is normal but usually at the start of cycle, swelling is normal, redness is bad

keep an eye on it
