Just wondering what everyone's opinions are on this topic.
If you're on a low carb diet(cyclical keto) and say only taking in one carb meal a day, which would be more benefical...a pre carb meal or post carb meal??

And what would be your carb of choice for that meal?

i'd say pre.. seeing as how ckd gives u carbs on a need basis only.. fucked up thing is, u need carbs both pre and post w/o.. but i would say pre is more relevant in ur case

I'll guess that pre workout would be better, but I do both.

Put oatmeal in ALL of your protein shakes.

It's a complex carb, and it lowers your LDL (bad cholesterol).

I just now saw this but my opinion on it is to take in your single carb meal post workout (within 30-45 mins) in order to replenish glycogen stores, with a protein shake to promote protein synthesis. Since glycogen is depleted through exercise, then replenishing post workout will hold you through until your next workout (where you would deplete, then replenish again.) As I said, this is only my opinion, but I would suggest taking in some caffeine pre (for a boost of energy), then carb/pro post.

And Supercharged....if she doing cyclical keto, then putting oatmeal in ALL of her shakes may not be suitable advice for this particular diet.

i said pre in thinking that it would give her fuel for her workouts, allow the carbs to be burned for energy, and let her drop back into ketosis quicker pwo.
