pre workout drink

just wanted to share this info..

for the passed 4 weeks i switched my pre workout meal from food(oatmeal and turkey ) to a liquid meal (20g dextrose and 20g whey 100mg r-ala) 15min b4 workout

100% better... more energy, better pumps and body comp has changed


might be old info for some but hope this helps......
 
your workouts must be vary short in duration because that dextrose sugar spike will cause you to crash halfway through a regular workout. You would be much better off consuming a lower glycemic carbohydrate 1-1.5 hrs prior to training.
 
well, apparently that works for him...everyone is different. I would think that a more complex carb would work better pre workout- I eat a sweet potato and have a shake consisting of casein and whey. whatever is giving results, though- keeo doing it until it stops working!
