Private Messages, new user

Just joined this forum about a week ago and i'm trying to figure out why I cannot send private messages....

I'm new to THIS forum, but I have used online forums since 2001. Do I have to go through a trial process before I am given full privileges or something?

yes, u have to post a certain amount of posts before all the privileges of this site are welcome to you. don't know the exact number, sorry

As far as i know being newbie like me, we have to post at least 50 quality post before accessing other function of this forum. Cheers.
