problems after tonights squats

Did squats tonight. My numbers aren't the best, but I put a lot of effort in tonight.

On the was home, I had extreme nausea and could barely stay awake.

Got home. Ate a little bit of sugar. A little bit of food, then. And then a Coke zero. Nausea completely disappeared.

Then, about 5 minutes ago, everything on the left side of my vision started kind of flashing. Seems to be neurological. Now, I see what looks like a string of flashing Z's just to the left of wherever I am focusing. Very annoying. I can barely read what I am reading right now.

Anyone ever get anything like this?

I get that after a heavy set of squats and deadlifts...but it only lasts for a few minutes...if its lasting that long...then you need to see a doc and talk to him about it...how long from your last set to now has it been?

Last set way about an hour ago, but the vision issues didn't start until maybe 10 or so minutes ago. They are getting worse. It is really hard to make out anything on the screen.

I also just remembered that I hit my head pretty hard at the gym. I've got a bump on my head from that.

I'm expecting this will simply resolve with a little time, but.... shit, I don't know.

well you could have a concussion...or you could have a mild stroke? i think you should call the hospital and talk to an advice nurse...tell her about it. ive also heard of people getting brain hemmorages...sorry just dont want you to have any of these...

i have a friend who is obese...hes 5 10 - 360...and he had a mild stroke... and woke up with half of his face drooping down...

i got something like that before a football game after warmup. I hit someone wrong and I felt it, after that it was as if I had no peripheral vision at all and I was seeing stars. I had a pretty good game and I felt fine afterwards, but that barley staying awake part is pretty weird. you need to start asking some questions to somebody who has a medical background or go get checked out.

Okay, I just slept for about an hour. My wife woke me up to check on me. I can see again, which makes me feel better, although I have a pretty damn bad headache now. These sypmtoms are similar to 'classic migraines' that I used to get back in middle school, many years ago.

Thanks for the words of wisdom.

honestly man...people have heart attacks, strokes, and all kinds of fucked up things happen to them and they barely notice because its minor one...maybe you should get checked out just to be safe... ive felt exactly like you felt...but only 3-4 minutes after a set and thats it...and maybe i feel like puking on the way home...but losing your vision could be all kinds of shit.

maybe low blood sugar or dehydrated? I've had similar symptoms when cutting weight. Just thought the low BS because you said you ate + soda and it disappeared.

this is what I would think, happens if I get a little hypo from Slin. But the vision issues are never there. Mranak, maybe you should see the doc if the symptoms persist. Be safe brother.

Good sets though.

i was gonna say sugar related .my pops is diabetic and he has vision problems due to blood sugar.low/high whatever just sounds like the same symptoms.

My bet is on severe hypoglycemia. Thank you everyone for the advice, support and humor.

I should probably put some dextrose into my gym bag incase this is a problem in the future. And if it does happen again, then I'll get a blood glucose monitor and ask my physician as well.
