Sassy, I suggest u stay away from Starbucks blueberry muffins, their nutritional value is $hit !!.. around 500 calories & 18 grams of fat, 68 grams of carbs, 24 grams of sugar, hardly any dietary fiber & only 5 grams of protein.. Starbucks blueberry muffins= you getting fat !
Not a good choice for breakfast even if trying to bulk like u.

your much better off eating a higher protein complex carb breakfast.

For a quick energy boost how many of you get some quick carbs in the morning?

Carbs are either fast or slow...
"good or bad" it depends on the glycemic index.
Slow carbs is the same thing as "good carbs" and fast carbs is the same thing as "bad carbs"

All carbs form glucose when digested, and fast carbs mainly= more fat being stored since they release more glucose.

The slower the release of glucose and hormones, the more stable and sustainable the energy levels of your body.
The more refined the carbs the faster the glucose is released into your blood. This can cause peaks and drops in your blood sugar level and less stable energy levels in the body.

Complex carbs provide a slower and more sustained release of energy than simple carbs, so they are always a better choice, no matter what your goal is.

Stay away from bad carbs or "quick carbs"

Like: white bread, cirn cereal, simple sugars, cupcakes, cookies, white rice, candy..brown & white cane sugar, yada yada..

U want to eat good carbs like whole grains, which are high in fiber & won't cause peaks & drops in your blood sugar.

u want to stick to: oatmeal, wheat germ, barly, wild & brown rice, whole wheat bread, wholemeal breads, wholemeal cereals, whole grain cereals, etc

I would definitely stay away from fast or quick carbs & stick to complex carbs.

It takes the same effort to eat complex carbs than it does to eat fast carbs, so making a good choice it's not hard.

Good shit bullseye. Add 2 or 4 tablespoons of PB into the shake and thats mine. So good and gives me energy quick and if u want u can add a bananna or whatever in it. You should look into Chobani greek yogurt I have diff tubs of flavors. Great addition to my breakfast. I'm always lookin for new breakfast food. Egg whites/turkey sausage/and bagels with pb all the time gets old

=) Just an occasional treat. I actually love bananas and oatmeal for bfast. BUT once in a great while.... those blueberry muffins call my name. I eat pretty healthy for the most part because I LIKE the taste of clean food. I do not have a sweet tooth or like greasy food. I could go the rest of my life with no chocolate and I wouldn't care.

500 calories & 18 grams of fat, 68 grams of carbs, 24 grams of sugar, hardly any dietary fiber & only 5 grams of protein though huh!? Wow... I will think twice.....

Not hating on Starbucks, but, imagine pairing the muffin with their Iced Peppermint iced mocha that has 700 calories... That would be 1,200 calories :insane: ok, I think I just gained 10pounds just by thinking about it..lol
