R.I.P Scooby1961, Last YouTube Video

Yeah, that's true he did say those things. You got to remember his videos were for either overweight middle-aged people or young, inexperienced teens getting started. We know the benefits of egg yolk and peanut butter, but technically it's all sound advice for someone trying to shed some pounds and get in "decent shape" for once.

Ok so are you saying you CANNOT get in "decent shape" while eating egg yolks, peanut butter, less than 6meals/day, or while eating processed foods?

this guy is a joke. says he never used AAS and anyone with a fucking brain knows he is on them. you cant give good advice unless your honest glad he is gone.

I wasn't a fan of his advice but that's just flat out wrong. His advice isn't wrong just bc be is probably Lying about AAS use. That could go to judge his character but that's got nothing to do with his advice and why/why not its good

No, not at all. I'm just saying the egg yolks and peanut butter available to the average consumer Scooby was catering to, although high in protein, are high in fats as well. Most of his videos were aimed at Average Joes trying to lose the weight they'd piled on over the years, so excluding these foods, increasing meal frequency but limiting quantity, was the simplest way to teach them about dieting. When he says eating more isn't better, he's talking about guys trying to bulk by eating everything in sight and just eating trash all day. Also another funny Always Sunny in Philadelphia reference!

Ok I understand what you're saying but there is nothing wrong with a high fat diet. Fat is essential nutrient and is involved in many processes in the body and the efficacy of keto or high fat diets in a way proves that fat isn't the problem with obesity, it's the calories. Increasing meal frequency does nothing but increase hunger for most ppl. The fewer the meals, in an isocaloric diet, the more satiety, again for most ppl not all. So by preaching what he did he may have "helped" ppl but he isn't treating the underlying issue or teaching the real basics of nutrition. He's just sweeping the issue under the carpet so to speak. Meal frequency is a matter of personal preference and does not alter body composition all other factors being equal. I mean do disrespect to you DipKing but there are better ways to help the average person and that's by teaching them what nutrition is really about: calculating caloric needs based on BMR AND TDEE, meeting minimum essential nutrient needs like protein and fat, eating at times that's convenient to the individual not preaching 6-8meals/day, and not taking certain things to extremes like processed foods are all crap, which they're not when used in moderation and micronutrient needs have been met. It might take more time to teach someone that way but you at least give them an accurate picture of nutrition and give them the tools to help themselves in the future.

I agree full-heartily with what you are saying :D. I guess it was difficult for him to approach this issue with such a broad audience.
