rear delt problem/question

Hey guys i've been having lingering shoulder issues for a few months. In the spring i took 3 months off any pushing exercises and now it's back. Essentially, when i bench the backs of my shoulders feel extremely fatigued. Not sore just super weak.

Since march i've been focusing on front, lateral, and rear deltoid raises. also just started a new stretch (grab a pvc or similar pipe and go from front to back without moving hands)

is there anything else i should do to strengthen up the rear delts before my cycle here in a few weeks?

thanks

That's a bit confusing since I don't think the rear delts work during a bench press. It might be related to how people retract the scapulae during the press, like maybe it works as a stabilizer or you're contracting them to help relax the front delts so they'll lower.

Stretching is fine but if you want to train them (good for shoulder thickness from a side view) there are prone "reverse" flies you can do. Transverse extension (elbows pointing behind you) will isolate them best, transverse abduction you externally rotate and point the elbows are your pelvis, this usually lets you go slightly heavier since the medial delts assist.
