should I start training my 8 year old Daughter In body building?

I started BB at 10 years old, I don't know If that affected my growth, or just that I was mented to be short 5''7 my father Is short just like me haha lol, but my question is can I start training my 8 year old daughter in the sport,?
 
Definitely. Just (and I hope you're aware of this) keep her off any supplements. Or heavy weight. Just mainly stretching/gymnastics type. My ex is a karate teacher..she instructed many ppl ranging ages from 2-50. It's great for kids. It keeps them focused. Good luck to you and your daughter.
 
NO. Start her on a health and fitness type lifestyle....teach her about stretching, cardio, etc....but I would not have her lifting till about the age of 12. Can it stunt her growth....absolutely. The biggest myth is that "it is a myth weights can stunt young people". They absolutely can.

However enrolling her in active sports and teaching her about a heatlhy diet is a great thing!

One thing.....she's young so teach her to diet HEALTHY....not clean. Kids need a bit more saturated fat then we do. Not much, but a bit.

I really wish more parents were like you. There are so many fat little kids running around. It's sad.
